Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka
The Sabaragamuwa Province ( si, සබරගමුව පළාත ''Sabaragamuwa Paḷāta'', ta, சபரகமுவ மாகாணம் ''Sabaragamuwa Mākāṇam'') is one of the nine provinces of Sri Lanka, the first level administrative division of the country. The provinces have existed since the 19th century but did not have any legal status until 1987 when the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of Sri Lanka established provincial councils. The Sabaragamuwa Province contains two districts: Ratnapura and Kegalle. It is named after its former indigenous inhabitants, namely the Sabara, an indic term for hunter-gatherer tribes, a term seldom used in ancient Sri Lanka. Sabaragamuwa University is in Belihuloya. Akurana
Akurana ( si, අකුරණ, ta, அக்குரணை) is a suburb of the city of Kandy in Kandy District, Central Province, Sri Lanka. The town is situated from Colombo and from the centre of Kandy, on the Kandy—Matale road. Akurana lies along the A9 highway from Kandy to Matale, north of Katugastota. Geographically the town is surrounded by hills and rivers. The Balapitiya Oya, a tributary of Pinga Oya river, runs through Akurana. Akurana belongs to the Harispattuwa Electorate and was represented in Parliament by a former Foreign Minister, Abdul Cader Shahul Hameed, for more than 33 years without interruption. Aldora is a town in Lamar County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a recorded population of 0, due to a "0 percent self-response rate" to the 2020 census. Alawwa is a town and divisional secretariat of the Kurunegala District in the North Western Province of Sri Lanka. The town is considered part of the Coconut Triangle, where most of the country's coconut exports come from. The population was 63,667 at the 2012 Sri Lankan census.
