Nicosia Armenian School
The Armenian school in Nicosia, as of 1972 called "Nareg", after Saint Krikor Naregatsi, is located on 47, Armenia street in Strovolos, Nicosia, between the Armenian Prelature of Cyprus building and the Sourp Asdvadzadzin church. The current building was built between 1971 and 1972 by the Technical Services of the Ministry of Education and was inaugurated on 12 November 1972 by Archbishop Makarios III and Catholicos Khoren I of Cilicia. Currently, the school has about 110 students. As all other Nareg Schools (Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol), it is under a single principal, as of 2009 Vera Tahmazian, and under the tutelage of the Nareg Armenian Schools Committee. Türk Maarif Koleji (), commonly referred to as Kolej, is a selective secondary education institute in Nicosia, Northern Cyprus. Access to the school is only open to students with top score in a nationwide entrance exam. It is an English-medium school. The school is famous with their highly successful academic programme, consecutively receiving national and international awards. The school is also very successful in sports, musical competitions and science olympiads. The English School Of Kyrenia
The English School of Kyrenia is a school in Northern Cyprus. The Prep and Pre-Prep School opened in 2008. For the academic year 2008-9, the school was housed in a historical building located next to the Archive Offices near the centre of Kyrenia. The new buildings for both primary and secondary pupils was planned to open in September 2009. The school curriculum is taught in both Turkish and English. Classes in English aim to enable pupils to gain fluency as a first or second language. There is also a tutor who teaches Turkish formally to the older children regularly throughout the week. By the end of the pre-prep school the aim is for pupils to be able to converse comfortably in both languages. In the Pre-Prep school the children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
