Masunga Senior Secondary School
Masunga /ˈmɑːsuŋɡʌ/ is a Bakalanga settlement in the North-East District of Botswana. The village is the Headquarters of the North East District. The nearest city is Francistown which is about away. The Chief of the region is Kgosi Thabo Maruje Masunga III, who took over from his uncle Christopher Masunga. Near Masunga are the hills of Domboshaba, which hold a ruined outpost of the Kalanga Empire, more like Great Zimbabwe (Mutapa). It is one of the tourist attractions in Botswana where a yearly Ikalanga cultural ceremony takes place. The language spoken in the North East Region is Kalanga, not Tswana like the rest of Botswana. The North-East District is one of the administrative districts of Botswana. Its capital is Francistown. In 2011, North-East had a population of 60,264 people. The district is predominantly occupied by Kalanga-speaking people, the BaKalanga. In the north and east, North-East borders the Matabeleland South Province of Zimbabwe, and the border in the east is predominantly along the Ramokgwebana River. Lobatse Senior Secondary School
Lobatse Senior Secondary School is a government institution located in Lobatse, Botswana. It was established in the colonial era as a private school for whites but has been a public school since 1966 after independence. It received over 1000 students every year from different schools in the Southern District. It has boarding facilities which offer accommodation to students from far villages. Although it is known for doing well academically and in sports, it is also known as a school with undisciplined students. It was the only school in Botswana with over 10 security guards and students were monitored by the police during lunch to make sure there was no trouble in the dining hall.
