Retro style is imitative or consciously derivative of lifestyles, trends, or art forms from history, including in music, modes, fashions, or attitudes. In popular culture, the " nostalgia cycle" is typically for the two decades that begin 20–30 years ago. Definition The term ''retro'' has been in use since 1972 to describe on the one hand, new artifacts that self-consciously refer to particular modes, motifs, techniques, and materials of the past. Leica M8
The Leica M8 is the first digital camera in the rangefinder M series introduced by Leica Camera AG on 14 September 2006. It uses an APS-H 10.3-megapixel Kodak KAF-10500 CCD image sensor. As of 15 November 2014, the most recent firmware version is 2.024. Features The M8 body is slightly thicker than the classic MP and M7 (approximately ~14% thicker). It is an all-metal body made of a high-strength magnesium alloy. The top and base plates are cut from brass billets, before receiving a black or silver chrome finish. The M8 supports all existing Leica M-mount lenses, however some older models might not offer all the functions due to mismatching cams. All lenses are multiplied by a 1.33x crop factor, hence a 28mm lens will act approximately like a 35mm when mounted to the M8. The Fujifilm X100 is a series of digital compact cameras with a fixed prime lens. Originally part of the FinePix line, then becoming a member of the X series from Fujifilm, the X100 series includes the FinePix X100, X100S, X100T, X100F, and X100V. They each have a large image sensor and a 23 mm lens (35 mm equivalent angle of view in full frame format). All five cameras have received generally positive reviews. The Fujifilm FinePix X100 was initially shown at the photokina show in September 2010 and was subsequently introduced in February 2011. Electronic Viewfinder
An electronic viewfinder (EVF) is a camera viewfinder where the image captured by the lens is displayed on a small screen (usually LCD or OLED) which the photographer can look through when composing their shot. It differs from a live preview screen in being smaller and shaded from ambient light, and may also use less power. The sensor records the view through the lens, the view is processed, and finally projected on a miniature display which is viewable through the eyepiece. Digital viewfinders are used in digital still cameras and in video cameras. Some cameras (such as Panasonic, Sony, Fujifilm) have an automatic eye sensor which switches the display from screen to EVF when the viewfinder is near the eye. Leica Q2
The Leica Q2 is a full-frame fixed-lens camera introduced in 2019. The Q2 is a successor to the Leica Q and Leica Q-P. The Q2 has a stabilized 28 mm f/1.7 Summilux fixed lens with a digital zoom equivalent corresponding to focal lengths of 28, 35, 50, and 75 mm. The Q2 features a 47.3MP CMOS full frame sensor, measuring 36 x 24 mm. It is capable of DCI and UHD 4K video recording at ISO sensitivities up to 50,000 and a maximum of 10 frames per second and an updated autofocus. Also it has IP52-rated dust and water resistance. The Q2 uses Bluetooth Low Energy for connectivity via the Leica FOTOS app, and its battery yields a CIPA rating of 370 shots per charge.
