Kėdainiai District Municipality
Kėdainiai () is one of the oldest cities in Lithuania. It is located north of Kaunas on the banks of the Nevėžis River. First mentioned in the 1372 Livonian Chronicle of Hermann de Wartberge, its population is 23,667. Its old town dates to the 17th century. Krekenava Regional Park ( lt, Krekenavos regioninis parkas) is regional park in central Lithuania, mostly in the southern part of Panevėžys District Municipality (a small part in Kėdainiai District Municipality). It was established in 1992 and covers the area of . Krekenava Regional Park encompasses the Nevėžis river middle course and various culture and nature monuments amongst Krekenava, Ramygala and Surviliškis towns. Nature 43% of the territory is covered by forests (the main forested area is Pašiliai Forest). There are some old oak groves. 1019 plant species are detected in the park, 31 of them are protected. Kaunas Reservoir Regional Park
Kauno Marios Regional Park was established in 1992 with the purpose to protect the unique lower landscape of Kaunas Reservoir, its natural ecosystem, and cultural heritage. It covers the total of 101.73 km² (water - 51.45 km², forests - 38.78 km²) and is one of the 30 regional parks in Lithuania. The man-made Kaunas Reservoir altered the local landscape and now one can see newly formed exposures, altered mouths of tributaries to the Neman River ( lt, Nemunas) (what local people now call fiords). The shallower edges of the reservoir are becoming swampy and attract almost all known species of water birds in Lithuania. Gražutė Regional Park is a park in northeast Lithuania. Established in 1992, it has an area of 29,741 hectares. About 20% of its territory consists of lakes, including , Lake Samanis and Lake Luodis, and wetlands; forests cover about 55% of the land.
