Foligno
Foligno (; Southern Umbrian: ''Fuligno'') is an ancient town of Italy in the province of Perugia in east central Umbria, on the Topino river where it leaves the Apennines and enters the wide plain of the Clitunno river system. It is located south-east of Perugia, north-north-west of Trevi and south of Spello. While Foligno is an active bishopric, one of its civil parishes, San Giovanni Profiamma, is the historical site of the former bishopric of Foro Flaminio, which remains a Latin Catholic titular see. Foligno railway station forms part of the main line from Rome to Ancona, and is the junction for Perugia; it is thus an important rail centre, with repair and maintenance yards for the trains of central Italy, and was therefore subjected to severe Allied aerial bombing in World War II, responsible for its relatively modern aspect, although it retains some medieval monuments. Foligno Railway Station
Foligno railway station ( it, Stazione di Foligno) serves the town and ''comune'' of Foligno, in the region of Umbria, central Italy. It is also the most important railway junction in Umbria. Opened in 1866, it forms part of the Ancona–Orte railway, and is the southeastern terminus of the Foligno–Terontola railway, which links Florence with Rome. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services are operated by or on behalf of Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Regional train services on the Foligno–Terontola railway are operated by Ferrovia Centrale Umbra, which sub-contracts on behalf of Trenitalia. Castiglione del Lago is a town in the province of Perugia of Umbria (central Italy), on the southwest corner of Lake Trasimeno. Campello sul Clitunno is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Perugia in the Italian region Umbria, about 45 km southeast of Perugia. The Temple of Clitumnus, and the source of the Clitunno River, are within its boundaries. It is also a center for olive oil production.
