Today FM
Today FM is an Irish national commercial FM radio station, owned and operated by Bauer Audio Ireland Limited. Broadcasting since 17 March 1997, it broadcasts mostly music, with a daily news and current affairs programme. Today FM holds a licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland as far as the year 2027. The station recorded pretax profits of €7.4 million on a turnover of €19.4 million in early 2009, more than twice what it was two years previously. Cork's 96FM
96FM is one of three local radio stations licensed by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland for Cork (city), Cork City and County Cork, County in Ireland (the other two being its sister station C103 and youth music station Red FM (Ireland), Red FM). It broadcasts from studios at Broadcasting House, St. Patrick's Place in Cork City. 96FM is operated as a dual franchise with C103 by County Media Limited which is owned by Wireless Group. The station's sound broadcasting contract (and thus its broadcasting licence) is advertised together with that of C103 and one company is required to operate the two stations, in a similar situation to that of Shannonside Northern Sound, Shannonside FM and Northern Sound Radio in the north-west of Ireland. C103 is one of three local radio stations licensed by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland for Cork City and County in Republic of Ireland (the other two being its sister station 96FM and youth music station Red FM). It broadcasts from studios at the Majestic Business Park, Goulds Hill in Mallow (its headquarters, North Cork Studios and official postal address), Weir Street in Bandon (its West Cork Studio) and St. Patrick's Place in Cork City (the headquarters of sister station 96FM). C103 is operated as a dual franchise with 96FM by County Media Limited which is owned by Wireless Group. Sunlight is a portion of the electromagnetic radiation given off by the Sun, in particular infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light. Radio Nova 100FM (Ireland)
Radio NOVA is a radio station licensed by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, based in Dublin, Ireland. It was awarded its broadcasting licence by the BAI in September 2008 and launched on 1 September 2010. It is the only Dublin radio station licensed to transmit to the extensive Dublin commuter belt, including Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Louth, and Meath (County Offaly can also pick up the frequency of Radio NOVA 100fm however it is greater in some areas than others and Mullingar County Westmeath usually cannot get the station). NOVA is available throughout County Louth, in south Armagh, south Down, east Tyrone and north Armagh although in some of these areas reception is patchy. NOVA broadcasts on 100.3 FM from Three Rock Mountain Dublin, 100.5 from Saggart Hill, County Dublin, to serve County Kildare and 95.7 FM from Bray Head in North Wicklow, to cover County Wicklow. Dublin's Q102
Dublin's Q102 is a commercial radio station in Dublin, owned by Wireless Group which is in turn owned by News UK. It broadcasts on 102.2 MHz FM. The station is licensed to target the 35+ age group, and must provide hourly news, as well as current events programming. It broadcasts under a contract from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. Q102 broadcasts from Macken House in Dublin's Docklands. The station was launched as Lite 102.2. On purchasing the station, UTV rebranded it to Dublin's Q102 thanks to research of Dublin people aged over 35, who decided on bringing back the name of a former pirate radio station. Relaunch The station's relaunch was orchestrated by former Big Brother UK contestant Ray Shah, who took over the station until it was relaunched. FM104 is an independent local radio station broadcast across Dublin, Ireland, on the frequency 104.4 MHz. It is operated by Capital Radio Productions Limited (unconnected with, and not to be confused with, Capital Radio plc), and is a subsidiary of the Wireless Group, which itself is a subsidiary of News UK. The station broadcasts under a contract from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. FM104 broadcasts from Macken House in Dublin's Docklands. 98FM is a local radio station in Dublin, Ireland, operated by Bauer Media Audio Ireland, under a sound broadcasting contract from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The station broadcasts on the 98.1 MHz FM frequency. 98FM's broadcast antenna is located on Three Rock Mountain, County Dublin at 5 kW, and can be heard in Dublin and neighbouring counties. 98FM also has a relay in north County Dublin, broadcasting on 97.4 MHz. Spirit Radio
Spirit Radio is an Irish Christian and religious radio station which began broadcasting in January 2011. It is licensed by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) to broadcast to the cities of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, Bray, Greystones, Dundalk, Naas Athlone, Carlow, Kilkenny and Newbridge on FM. In July 2012, due to licence obligations, the station extended its coverage by opening a medium wave (AM) channel on 549 kHz. The 10 kW medium wave, 549 kHz transmitter is located Carrickroe, Co. Monaghan. The station is in the process of expanding with FM transmitters earmarked for Clonmel, Killarney, Letterkenny and Navan, again using the multi-city licence. Ireland's Classic Hits Radio is an Irish Radio in Ireland, independent multi-region radio station based in Dublin, and broadcasting to that city as well as Cork city, Cork, Limerick, Galway, County Clare, County Wicklow, County Kildare, County Meath. It can also be picked up in parts of County Kerry, County Tipperary, County Waterford, County Wexford and County Mayo.
