ABC Classic
ABC Classic, formerly ABC-FM (also ABC Fine Music), and then ABC Classic FM, is an Australian classical music radio station available in Australia and internationally. Its website features classical music news, features and listening guides. It is operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). History ABC Classic was established in 1976 as "ABC-FM", and later for a short time was known as "ABC Fine Music" (a play on the letters FM). It became known as ABC Classic FM in 1994, before adopting its current name in January 2019. It was the ABC's first experiment in FM broadcasting – which had become a necessity in Australia as broadcasters ran out of AM frequencies on which to transmit. SBS PopAsia is an Australian digital radio station that broadcasts music, most notably from East Asia and Southeast Asia, on digital radio, online and on mobile devices. Raw FM is an Australian narrowcast radio network, consisting of stations in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Queensland. The network was started with the opening of a station on the Central Coast of New South Wales in 1999 and then expanded to take on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, parts of New South Wales, Gold Coast and Australian Capital Territory. 2XX FM
2XX FM (call sign: 1XXR) is a community radio station, broadcasting on the FM band in Canberra, Australia. 2XX FM is one of Australia's longest running community broadcasters. It took over the operation of the former Australian National University student radio station in 1976, broadcasting as 2XX on 1008 kHz AM from two studios at the Drill Hall Gallery in Acton. A third studio, completed in 1985, was fitted out as a multitrack recording studio for local bands to make independent recordings and give live-to-air performances. In 2000 the station moved into converted studios at the Griffin Centre in Civic and changed the broadcast frequency to 98.3 MHz FM.
