Vietnam Television
Vietnam Television ( vi, Đài Truyền hình Việt Nam), or VTV, is the national television broadcaster of Vietnam. As the state broadcaster under the direction of the government of Vietnam, VTV is tasked with "propagating the views of the Party, policies, laws of the government". History VTV was established with technical assistance and training from Cuba on 7 September 1970, in Hanoi, as a department of Voice of Vietnam. During the Vietnam War it broadcast intermittently from a mountainous region. After reunification in 1975, the former US-run stations in the south became part of the national network, and broadcasting was extended to the entire country. Color television was experimented in 1977 and adopted the French SECAM standard and fully implemented in 1986. Vietnam Television became an official name on 30 April 1987. And by 1990, VTV viewers had two national TV channels to choose from as VTV2 was launched and that year switched to PAL. ''Who is the Millionaire'' ( Vietnamese: Ai là triệu phú) is a Vietnamese game show based on the original British format of '' Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.'' The show is hosted by Lại Văn Sâm from its debut until 2017, Phan Đăng from 2018 to 2020, and Đinh Tiến Dũng from 2021 onwards. The main goal of the game is to win the top prize (50,000,000 ₫ in 2005; 100,000,000₫ from 2005 to 2007; 120,000,000₫ from 2007 to 2012; 150,000,000₫ from 2012 to 2021 and 250,000,000₫ from 2022 onward) by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. There are four ''lifelines'' – 50:50, Phone a Friend, Plus One (first appeared in 2020) and Ask Two Experts (can be used after the fifth question, first appeared in 2020). ''Bước nhảy hoàn vũ'' () is a reality show produced by Vietnam Television and Cát Tiên Sa Production. The show originates from the BBC series ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and is a part of the international ''Dancing with the Stars'' franchise. The first season aired from April 11 to June 20, 2010 with 8 pairs of celebrities and professional dancers. The show returned for its second season on April 17, 2011 and the third season on mid March, 2012. The current panel of judges consists of Khánh Thi, Lê Hoàng and Trần Ly Ly, leaving Khánh Thi is the only original judge until this season. Lê Hoàng made a comeback after two seasons breaking. Former permanent judges were Chí Anh (from 2010 to 2012), Nguyễn Quang Dũng (2010 and 2011), Trần Tiến and Đức Huy (2011), Quốc Bảo and Hồ Hoài Anh (2012). ''Favorite Song'' ( Vietnamese: Bài hát yêu thích) is a Vietnamese music television program broadcast by VTV. The live show airs on the first Sunday of every month at 21:00 UTC+7 while the weekly chart show airs every Sunday at 14:15 UTC+7. It is hosted by Danh Tùng and Thùy Linh. The show was introduced as a music chart for Vietnamese songs. Chart system Songs selection Before the live show's airing, nominated songs introduced by various sources will be judged by the select council consists of 15 people to choose a shortlist. After that, the view counts on the official website for those songs in the shortlist will be counted towards the final result. Top 12 songs from this selection round will be performed on the month's live show.
