Arena (Australian Publishing Co-operative)
Arena is an independent Australian critical and radical publishing cooperative that has been continuously producing writings since its founding in 1963. Established by figures in Australia’s ‘New Left’, Arena is a forum to debate and develop new ideas about society and the world, occupying a unique place in Australian cultural and intellectual life ever since. Arena’s editors and authors share a commitment to creating a genuinely and fully human society for all—a society that draws on left social and political traditions and a ‘green’ revisioning of the world but goes beyond simple or entrenched versions of those ideas. The Dorchester Review
''The Dorchester Review,'' founded in 2011, is a semi-annual journal of history and historical commentary that describes itself as a non-partisan but "robustly polemical" outlet for "elements of tradition and culture inherent to Canadian experience that fail to conform to a stridently progressivist narrative." Contents The journal includes articles on history as well as historical commentary. The name Dorchester was chosen to honour the 1st Baron Dorchester —Sir Guy Carleton—who served as Governor of the Province of Quebec from 1768 to 1778, and Governor General of British North America from 1785 to 1795. Dorchester defied General George Washington and encouraged escaped slaves to emigrate with the Loyalists to Canada. He also extended religious liberty to Roman Catholics and Jews under his officially Protestant regime. 2512 is a monthly news magazine published in Réunion. Its name refers to the size in square kilometres of this French overseas department, which is located in the Indian Ocean. Editorial content Columns Besides the daily press, ''2512'' is the only generalist publication in Réunion since a competitor, founded several months earlier than ''2512'', went bankrupt in December 2006. ''Shijie zhishi'' () is a bimonthly semi-official foreign affairs magazine which has been in circulation since 1934 based in Beijing, China. From time to time the magazine was used as a propaganda publication by the state particularly during the Cold War. It is one of the long-running periodicals in China. History and profile ''Shijie zhishi'' was established in 1934. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in charge of the magazine. One of its early editors-in-chief was Jin Zhonghua. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, commonly abbreviated outside China as Xi Jinping Thought, is a set of policies and ideas derived from the writings and speeches of Chinese Communist Party general secretary Xi Jinping. It was first officially mentioned at the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party in 2017, in which it was incorporated into the Constitution of the Chinese Communist Party. Deng Xiaoping Theory ( zh, s=邓小平理论, p=Dèng Xiǎopíng Lǐlùn), also known as Dengism, is the series of political and economic ideologies first developed by Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. The theory does not reject Marxism–Leninism or Mao Zedong Thought, but instead claims to be an adaptation of them to the existing socioeconomic conditions of China.
