Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive sport, competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the water polo ball, ball into the opposing team's goal (sport), goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one Goalkeeper (water polo), goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep swimming pool, pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. Rita Drávucz (born 14 April 1980 in Szolnok) is a water polo player from Hungary, who competed for her native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China and the 2012 Summer Olympics in the London, Great Britain. Drávucz was a member of the Hungary women's national team that claimed the title at the 2001 Women's European Water Polo Championship in Budapest, Hungary, and 2002 FINA Women's Water Polo World Cup Since 2011 she plays for Italian top division side Pro Recco. Ekaterina Andreyevna Lisunova (russian: Екатерина Андреевна Лисунова; née ''Pantyulina'' on 6 October 1989) is a Russian water polo player. She competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and finished in seventh and sixth place, respectively, and was part of the Russian 2016 Summer Olympic team that won the bronze medal. Nadezhda Sergeyevna Glyzina (russian: Надежда Сергеевна Глызина, née Fedotova; born 20 May 1988) is a Russian female water polo player. She was a member of the Russia women's national water polo team, playing as a driver. She was a part of the team at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. Teresa Frassinetti
Teresa Frassinetti (born 24 December 1985) is an Italian former water polo player, who is currently deputy president of the Federazione Italiana Nuoto. She was part of the Italian team winning the bronze medal at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, where she played in the centre forward position. She competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2016 Summer Olympics. On 19 May 2017 Frassinetti announced her retirement from the game. Orsolya Takács (born 20 May 1985) is a Hungarian female water polo player. She plays for Bologna in the Italian Championship and is also member of the Hungarian national team. Among her successes on club level are two Hungarian Championship (2007, 2008) and three Hungarian Cup titles (2007, 2009, 2010). Takács also had successful spells with the Hungarian national team since her debut in 2004, having won a number of medals, including the World Championship gold in 2005 and three European Championship bronze in 2006, 2008 and 2012. Bronwen Knox (born 16 April 1986) is an Australian water polo centre back/centre forward. She attended Hartwick College and Griffith University, earning a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and works as a laboratory assistant. She started playing water polo when she was fourteen. She played for the National Water Polo League's Queensland Breakers before switching to the Victorian Tigers for the 2012 season. In 2013–14 season she played for the Greek powerhouse Olympiacos in the European competitions, winning the LEN Trophy. Knox has represented Australia as a member of Australia women's national water polo team on both the junior and senior levels. Gemma Jane Beadsworth (born 17 July 1987) is an Australian water polo centre forward. She has had scholarships for water polo from the Australian Institute of Sport and the Western Australian Institute of Sport. She plays for the Fremantle Marlins in the National Water Polo League.
