Daniel J. Lynch (1916–1981) was the former athletic director and basketball coach at St. Francis College. Lynch was also a noted public speaker, regularly addressing civic and sports groups. Lynch was often referred to as, ''The Smiling Irishman''. Biography Daniel Lynch graduated from St. Francis College in 1938. Daniel A. Lynch (born November 17, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021. Amateur career Lynch played baseball at Douglas S. Freeman High School in Henrico, Virginia. As a junior, he compiled a 0.97 ERA. After high school, he enrolled at the University of Virginia where he played for the Virginia Cavaliers baseball team. Damian Lynch (born 31 July 1979, in Dublin) is a retired Republic of Ireland, Irish professional footballer whose last club was League of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic. From Santry, where he played his soccer with St Kevin's before he was enticed across to Leeds United.
