This is a list of air bases operated by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). Facilities included in the list include all aerodromes at which the PLAAF operates a regular presence. These may include those exclusively for military use as well as those portions of mixed-use aerodromes operated by the military. It may also include facilities in other countries at which the PLAAF controls a portion of facilities for regular operations. Central Theater Command
The Central Theater Command () is one of the five theater commands of the People's Liberation Army of China, and was founded on 1 February 2016. Its predecessors were the Beijing Military Region and Jinan Military Region. 8th Bomber Division (People's Republic Of China)
The 8th Bomber Division or 8th Air Division (, 8th AD) of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) is an air formation of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Today, the 8th Bomber Division is assigned to the Southern Theater Command and operates Xian H-6 bombers. The 8th Bomber Division, the first and longest-serving bomber unit in the PRC, has been deployed in the 1950–1953 Korean War, 1958 Second Taiwan Strait Crisis, 1959 Tibetan uprising, and today conducts deterrence patrols in the South China Sea. Kaifeng Air Base is a People's Liberation Army Air Force Base, located about 1 mile southeast of Kaifeng (Henan Province) in the People’s Republic of China. Jiaxing Air Base
Jiaxing Airport (), or Jiaxing Air Base, is a military air base in the city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, China. It is being converted to a dual-use military and civilian airport. The airport is located 8 kilometers from the city center in Xiuzhou District. Due to Jiaxing Airport's proximity to both Shanghai and Hangzhou, it is touted as "Shanghai's third airport" and "Hangzhou's second airport". The airport is designed to handle 500,000 passengers annually.Jiaxing Airport is expected to be officially operational in 2025. Facilities Jiaxing Airport will be a class 4E airport when completed. Hangzhou Jianqiao Airport (), formerly romanized as Chien Chiao, also known as Hangzhou Air Base, is a People's Liberation Army Air Force Base and a former civil airport serving Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province, China. Nanchang Qingyunpu Airport
Nanchang Qingyunpu Airport (), also known as Sanjiadian Airport (), is an airport in Qingyunpu District of Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. Originally constructed for use by the Republic of China Air Force, it was the largest airport in China when opened in 1935. The airport was destroyed during the Second Sino-Japanese War and rebuilt afterwards. Shuozhou Huairen Airport or Huairen Air Base, located in Huairen, Shuozhou, is a People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLA-AF) installation near the Fen River, south of the city of Datong, in northern Shanxi province, China. People's Liberation Army Air Force Airborne Corps
The People's Liberation Army Air Force Airborne Corps () is an airborne corps under direct command of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). It was reorganized and renamed from the 15th Airborne Corps in May 2017 and now comprises six airborne brigades and a special operations brigade. The PLAAF Airborne Corps is China's primary strategic airborne unit and part of the newly formed rapid reaction units (RRUs) of the Chinese military which is primarily designated for airborne and special operation missions. Its role is similar to that of the U.S. Army's XVIII Airborne Corps/82nd Airborne Division/101st Airborne Division and Russian Airborne Forces.
