Nanpasen
is the 19th single by Japanese entertainer Akina Nakamori. Written by Tokiko Kato, the single was released on September 30, 1987, by Warner Pioneer through the Reprise label. It was also the third single from her fourth compilation album '' Best II''. Background "Nanpasen" was originally recorded by Kato on her 1984 album . Three years later, she requested Nakamori to sing the song on her 22nd birthday on a live TV performance. Nakamori also performed the song on the 38th ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen'', making her fifth appearance on NHK's New Year's Eve special. Kato re-recorded "Nanpasen" on her 1991 compilation ''Tokiko Best'' and her 2001 compilation ''My Best Album Tokiko Today''. Masahiko Kondō
or Matchy is a Japanese singer, lyricist, actor, racing car manager and former semi-professional racing driver. He was a member of the Tanokin Trio. Kondō is also a semi-professional racing driver and a racing team owner. He founded the racing team ''Kondo Racing'' in 2000, which currently competes in both Super Formula and Super GT. is a Japanese actress, a J-Pop singer, and an idol who came to fame in the 1980s. Biography Yui was born in Miyazaki, Miyazaki, Japan, and later attended Nakano High School. Boøwy ( ; stylized as BOØWY) was a Japanese rock band formed in Takasaki, Gunma in 1981. The classic lineup of vocalist Kyosuke Himuro, guitarist Tomoyasu Hotei, bassist Tsunematsu Matsui, and drummer Makoto Takahashi reached legendary status in Japan during the 1980s. In 1988, the year they broke up, they became the first male artists to have three number-one albums within a single year on the Oricon chart. The Checkers (Japanese Band)
The Checkers (Japanese: チェッカーズ) was a very popular Japanese band in the 1980s. They were a pop icon of their time as kids copied hair styles and fashion of the band members. The band was formed in Kurume-city, Fukuoka Pref. by Toru Takeuchi, the leader and the guitarist, who asked Fumiya Fujii to start a band with him in 1980. They won the Yamaha Light Music Contest in Junior category soon after forming the band. Due to some of the members being high school students at the time they were approached with a record deal they waited until those members finished high school. They made a debut on 21 September 1983 and split up on 31 December 1992. All of their single releases entered top 10 in Japanese charts, many of them making it to No 1.
