In this page are contained all the lists of number-one singles from the Official Finnish Charts, the official Finnish music charts that began in 1989. Musiikkituottajat – IFPI Finland, the association of Finnish music industry, publishes currently three separate singles charts: the Official Finnish Singles Chart (''Suomen virallinen singlelista'') which takes into account both physical singles and digital tracks (singles, promotional singles and non-singles), the Official Finnish Download Chart (''Suomen virallinen latauslista''), which since February 2007 has listed tracks accordingly to their digital sales, and the Official Finnish Airplay Chart, which since 24 November 2013 has listed tracks accordingly to their airplay. On 5 April 2012 the Singles Chart began to include music streaming in addition to digital and physical sales. YUP (band)
YUP (Yhdistyneet Urbaanit Puoskarit, literal translation United Urban Quacks, originally Y.U.P. Young Urban Perverts) is a Finnish rock-music group. The band arose amongst three students of the Savonlinna senior high of arts in 1987 and played some rather primitive, progressive hard-core punk with English lyrics. Originally the group consisted of Jarkko Martikainen (guitar), Valtteri Tynkkynen (bass guitar) and Jussi Hyyrynen (drums). With the EP ''Turpasauna'' in 1990 the language changed into Finnish and the music became more complicated. Soon a fourth member joined the band, keyboardist Tommi Kärkkäinen, since more musicians were needed to carry out the varied ideas of the artists. In 1992 on the single ''Daavidin fuzz / Paratiisin sahakielet'' the crew had changed again: Jussi Hyyrynen had switched to the guitar and Janne Mannonen had been hired to be the new drummer. Black Eyed Peas (also known as The Black Eyed Peas) is an American musical group consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo. The group's line-up during the height of their popularity in the 2000s featured Fergie, who replaced Kim Hill in 2002. Originally an alternative hip hop group, they subsequently refashioned themselves as a more marketable pop-rap act. Although the group was founded in Los Angeles in 1995, it was not until the release of their third album, ''Elephunk'', in 2003, that they achieved high record sales. "Don't Phunk with My Heart" (censored as "Don't Mess with My Heart") is a song recorded by American group the Black Eyed Peas for their fourth studio album '' Monkey Business'' (2005). It was written by band members will.i.am and Fergie with Printz Board, George Pajon, Jr. and Full Force; will.i.am also produced and engineered the song. The song is a hip hop song in which the lyrics, according to will.i.am, tell of a situation between a couple when one tries to end the relationship and the other is in disbelief. It features compositional samples of songs derived from two Bollywood films of the 1970s, ''Apradh'' (1972) and ''Don'' (1978), as well as interpolations of Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam's 1985 single " I Wonder If I Take You Home" and Gucci Crew II's 1988 single "Sally (That Girl)", which effectively credited Kalyanji–Anandji, Indeewar and Full Force as songwriters. Sentenced was a Finnish gothic metal band that played melodic death metal in their early years. The band formed in 1989 in the town of Muhos and broke up in 2005. History Early years (1988–1991) Sentenced started in 1988 as Deformity and changed their name to Sentenced in 1989, after a few line-up changes. The original line-up consisted of Miika Tenkula (lead guitar and vocals), Sami Lopakka (guitar), Vesa Ranta (drums), and Lari Kylmänen (bass). Antti Tuisku
Antti Tuisku (born 27 February 1984) is a Finnish pop singer. He finished third in the 2003 '' Idols'' talent show, the Finnish version of ''Pop Idol''. Tuisku has sold over 300,000 records during his career in Finland. In 2016, Tuisku won the Best Male Artist 2015 award at Emma-gaala. His 2016 album ''En kommentoi'' received the Record of the Year and Best Pop Album of the Year awards. Career ''En kommentoi'' Tuisku's 10th album ''En kommentoi'' was released in May 2015. The album spent nine weeks at number one on the Official Finnish Album Chart. After the success of the album he embarked on the ''Peto on irti'' tour. Viikate ("Scythe" in English) is a Finnish rock band from Kouvola, formed in 1996. The band is known for its melancholic lyrics, drawing inspiration from Finnish romance movies of the 1950s and Finnish singers of the era, including Reino Helismaa.
