The non-marine molluscs of Iran are a part of the molluscan fauna of Iran, which is part of the (wildlife of Iran). Freshwater gastropods 27 freshwater gastropod species (37% of freshwater gastropod species in Iran) are endemic to Iran. Species of freshwater gastropods of Iran include: Neritidae * '' Neritina mesopotamica'' Martens 1879 - the first report in Iran was in 2001Mansoorian A. (2001). Melanoides Tuberculata
The red-rimmed melania (''Melanoides tuberculata''), also known as Malayan livebearing snails or Malayan/Malaysian trumpet snails (often abbreviated to MTS) by aquarists, is a species of freshwater snail with an operculum, a parthenogenetic, aquatic gastropod mollusk in the family Thiaridae. The common name comes from the presence of reddish spots on the otherwise greenish-brown shell. The species name is sometimes spelled ''Melanoides tuberculatus'', but this is incorrect because ''Melanoides'' Olivier, 1804 was clearly intended to be feminine because it was combined with the feminine specific epithet ''fasciolata'' in the original description."Genus: ''Melanoides''"
''Molluscs of central Europe'', accessed 19 April 2011.
This species is native to northern Africa and southern Asia,

''Mieniplotia'' is a genus of freshwater snails in the family Thiaridae. It is monotypic In biology, a monotypic taxon is a taxonomic group (taxon) that contains only one immediately subordinate taxon. Müller, 1774). Distribution and habitat ''Mieniplotia scabra'' is coastal freshwater species that can also occur in brackish water. It occurs from the east coast of Africa to the south Pacific; it is considered invasive in parts of its range. Thiaridae
Thiaridae, common name thiarids or trumpet snails, is a family of tropical freshwater snails with an operculum, aquatic gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Cerithioidea. MolluscaBase eds. (2021). MolluscaBase. Thiaridae Gill, 1871 (1823). Accessed through: World Register of Marine Species at: http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=196287 on 2021-07-28 Taxonomy Many species of freshwater snails that are characterized by a turreted shell were originally placed within the genus ''Melania'' Lamarck, 1799. This genus as delimited by authors of the late 19th and early 20th century contained hundreds of species, and was successively split into different groupings. Over time, infrageneric groups (subgenera) were elevated to the rank of independent genera and the genus ''Melania'' was elevated to the rank of a family, Melanidae. However, the genus name ''Melania'' Lamarck, 1799 was demonstrated to be a junior synonym of the genus name ''Thiara'' Röding, 1798. Conseq ...

Potamididae
''Potamididae'', common name potamidids (also known as horn snails or mudwhelks) are a family of small to large brackish water snails that live on mud flats, mangroves and similar habitats. They are amphibious gastropod molluscs in the superfamily Cerithioidea. Traditionally, potamidids and batillariids have been confused because they have similar shells and they live in similar environments. For many fossil taxa the family assignment to either of these two families is still unresolved or controversial. According to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi (2005) the family Potamididae has no subfamilies. Distribution The distribution of Potamididae includes the Indo-West Pacific, the eastern Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. Genera Six living and a number of fossil genera are currently recognized: Recent genera: * ''Cerithidea'' Swainson, 1840 * ''Cerithideopsis'' Thiele, 1929 ** possible subgenus or synonym: † '' Harrisianella'' Olson, 1929 - Reid et al.
