New South Wales Waratahs
The New South Wales Waratahs ( or ;), referred to as the Waratahs, are an Australian professional rugby union team representing the majority of New South Wales in the Super Rugby competition. The Riverina and other southern parts of the state, are represented by the Brumbies, who are based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The Waratahs play their home games at the new Allianz Stadium in Sydney. With the old stadium closed for demolition and rebuilding, from 2019 to 2022 home games are played at either the Sydney Cricket Ground or Western Sydney Stadium. In 2022, they will move into the New Sydney Football Stadium, on the old site of the Old Stadium. Fili Finau
Salesi Fili Finau (born Neiafu, 4 January 1972) is a former Tongan-born Australian rugby union player who played as flanker. Career Born in the island of Vava'u and educated at the Homebush Boys High School, Finau first played for West Harbour RFC in 1990, before his debut for the New South Wales representative team, which was during a match against the ACT Kookaburras played in Canberra, in 1993. He also played two seasons for the Waratahs in the Super 12. International career At international level, Finau debuted for the Australia Schoolboys XV which was touring in Britain and Europe in 1990. Graeme Bond (rugby Union)
Graeme Stephen Geoffrey Bond (born 21 May 1974) is an Australian former professional rugby union player for the NSW Waratahs, ACT Brumbies and Sale Sharks. He represented Australia in five Test matches as a centre and winger. Bond was born in Papua New Guinea and attended Brisbane's Marist College. He won a Super 12 title with the ACT Brumbies in 2001 and debuted for the Wallabies that year against the Springboks in Perth. On the 2001 Wallabies tour of Europe, he featured in a further four Test matches and scored his only international try in a win over Spain. He played for the Sale Sharks from 2002 to 2004, before being forced into retirement due to a neck injury. Andrew Duncan Heath (born 22 October 1969) is an Australian former rugby union player who played as a prop. He was born and raised in Melbourne, attending Scotch College. He relocated to Sydney in 1992 to join Shute Shield club Eastern Suburbs and the following year made his debut for the New South Wales Waratahs. He was capped eight times for the Australia national team in 1996 and 1997, including a home Test against New Zealand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Following two seasons with the Queensland Reds in 1998 and 1999, he then had stints overseas, at French club AS Béziers and later Wellington in New Zealand provincial rugby. Michael Brial
Michael Cameron Brial (born 11 May 1970, in Narrabri, New South Wales) is an Australian former rugby union player. He played as back-row, usually as number 8. Career Club career Brial grew up playing rugby league in his high school days. He first played rugby union at the age of 14, joining the Narrabri Blue Boars, where his brother Brenden played. Two years later, he joined the Narrabri High School team, with which he won the under-19 Wiburd Shield. He also represented Central North in the U-14, U-16 and U-19 teams. In 1992, Brial made his debut for New South Wales during the match against Wellington at the Athletic Park, earning also a spot in the Australia XV squad for the 1992 end-of-year tour in Ireland and Wales. Matt Dixon (rugby Union)
Matthew Thomas Patrick Dixon (born 14 May 1969) is an Australian former professional rugby union player. Rugby career A centre, Dixon won three premierships with Gordon during the 1990s and featured in two Super 12 campaigns for the New South Wales Waratahs. His Waratahs contract was not renewed in 1998, with the team instead recruiting Queensland's Nathan Grey, so continued his professional career in England, playing two seasons with Richmond. He then returned to Gordon and was appointed captain for their 2000 season. Personal life Dixon was educated at Marist North Shore and the University of New South Wales. Matt Mostyn is a retired Irish-Australian rugby player. He earned six caps playing as a wing for the Ireland national rugby union team, including four at the 1999 Rugby World Cup, being eligible through a grandparent from County Tyrone. Samuela Ravanua Domoni Junior (25 December 1968 – 24 July 2021) was a Fijian former rugby union footballer and the former national coach of the Fiji national rugby union team. He played as a lock or flanker. He was and during his playing days weighed . He played Super Rugby for NSW Waratahs. He also played for English clubs, London Irish and Saracens. Viliami Ofahengaue (born 3 May 1968 in Kolofoou, Tonga), widely known as Willie O, is a former rugby union player who earned 41 caps for the Australian Wallabies from 1990 to 1998, and played in the World Cups of 1991 and 1995 as well as the 1993 World Cup Sevens. Ofahengaue attended Tupou College Toloa in Tonga. He was included in Toloas 1st XV team that was undefeated throughout all the secondary schools in Tonga, it was after his years at Tupou College Toloa where he had the opportunities to travel around Australia and New Zealand through rugby. Ofahengaue played for New Zealand Schoolboys in 1988 and participated in a tour to Australia. Richard Lewis Lloyd Harry (born 30 November 1967 in Sydney, Australia, educated at Scotch College Melbourne and Barker College, Hornsby) is a retired Australian rugby union player.
