List Of Narcissus Horticultural Divisions
The List of ''Narcissus'' horticultural divisions is a classification of the cultivated varieties of the genus '' Narcissus'' (), which are predominantly spring perennial plants in the family Amaryllidaceae. Most species and cultivars are known by the common name daffodil, while a few are called jonquils. The list of '' Narcissus'' horticultural divisions provided by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is the standard method used to classify and describe cultivated varieties (cultivars) of ''Narcissus''. It is widely used since the RHS is the international authority for the registration of such cultivars. For horticultural purposes, all ''Narcissus'' cultivars are split into 13 divisions, as described by Kington (1998), for the RHS, based partly upon flower form (shape and length of corona – the "trumpet" or "cup"), particularly the ratio of corona to length of perianth segments (tepals or "petals"), the number of flowers per stem, flowering period and partly upon the genetic ...

Scilly Valentine
The Isles of Scilly (; kw, Syllan, ', or ) is an archipelago off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, England. One of the islands, St Agnes, is the most southerly point in Britain, being over further south than the most southerly point of the British mainland at Lizard Point. The total population of the islands at the 2011 United Kingdom census was 2,203. Scilly forms part of the ceremonial county of Cornwall, and some services are combined with those of Cornwall. However, since 1890, the islands have had a separate local authority. Since the passing of the Isles of Scilly Order 1930, this authority has had the status of a county council and today is known as the Council of the Isles of Scilly. The adjective "Scillonian" is sometimes used for people or things related to the archipelago. The Duchy of Cornwall owns most of the freehold land on the islands. Tourism is a major part of the local economy, along with agriculture—particularly the production of cut flowers. E ...

Pedicel (botany)
In botany, a pedicel is a stem that attaches a single flower to the inflorescence. Such inflorescences are described as ''pedicellate''. Description Pedicel refers to a structure connecting a single flower to its inflorescence. In the absence of a pedicel, the flowers are described as sessile. Pedicel is also applied to the stem of the infructescence. The word "pedicel" is derived from the Latin ''pediculus'', meaning "little foot". The stem or branch from the main stem of the inflorescence that holds a group of pedicels is called a peduncle. A pedicel may be associated with a bract or bracts. In cultivation In Halloween types of pumpkin or squash plants, the shape of the pedicel has received particular attention because plant breeders are trying to optimize the size and shape of the pedicel for the best "lid" for a "jack-o'-lantern". Narcissus Cyclamineus
''Narcissus cyclamineus'', the cyclamen-flowered daffodil, is a species of flowering plant in the family Amaryllidaceae, native to North West Portugal and North West Spain. Description It is a vigorous bulbous perennial, growing to tall, with grass-like leaves, and yellow flowers in early Spring. The 4.5 cm long, pendent flowers are unusual in that the central trumpet (corona) is long and narrow, while the outer section (perianth) is fully reflexed (folded back on itself). This reflexion superficially resembles that of the distantly related cyclamen. Cultivation ''Narcissus cyclamineus'' is widely planted in gardens, and can be naturalised in a woodland garden or in thin grass, where it will spread by self-seeding. It prefers well-drained, lime-free soil that does not dry out in summer. It is valuable for its bright yellow flowers that appear in early spring with other bulbs such as snowdrops and ''Cyclamen coum''. Due to its small size it is very suitable for growing in a ...

Narcissus Triandrus
''Narcissus triandrus'', also known as the ''Angel's Tears daffodil'', is a species of dwarf flowering plant within the family Amaryllidaceae. The popular cultivar 'Hawera', belonging to the Triandrus group, has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Description ''Narcissus triandrus'' is a dwarf, bulbous perennial plant. The bulbs of this species are small and dark in colour. Bulbs lay dormant in the soil for the majority of the year until emerging in the Spring. A single bulb usually produces two leaves each that can grow to a length of 20 cm long by 4-5 mm wide. Leaves are keeled, striate on their surface and sometimes coiled at the tip. Stems of the species are 30 cm tall, thick, tubular, and almost waxy on their outer side. Stems can hold from one to six cup shaped flowers, which are milk white or pale yellow in colour. Reproduction The flower size varies, increasing from southeast to northwest, correlating with plant size, probably reflecti ...
