Mongolia has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film since 2003. The award is handed out annually by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. Mongolia has submitted five films for consideration, although none have been nominated for the Foreign Film Oscar. However, ''The Story of the Weeping Camel'' submitted itself for the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Feature) the following year and was nominated. Baljinnyamyn Amarsaikhan ( mn, Балжиннямын Амарсайхан) is a Mongolian actor and producer, known for '' Thief of the Mind'' (2011) and '' Trapped Abroad'' (2014). ''Thief of the Mind'' (or ''Mind Thief'') produced by Amarsaikhan and directed by Janchivdorj Sengedorj won the Grand Prix for Best Film in 2011 during the Mongolian 2012 Academy Awards with Amarsaikhan also winning the award for "Best Lead Role - Actor" during the same event.
