This is a list of members of the 19th Bundestag – the lower house of parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany, whose members were in office from 24 October 2017 until 26 October 2021. __FORCETOC__ Members Constituencies and vote percentage are given for the members directly elected (first past the post) in the 299 List of Bundestag constituencies, Bundestag constituencies. The remaining members are elected via party lists in each States of Germany, state. Members who leave parliament are replaced by the next person on their party's state list. The Reichstag (, ; officially: – ; en, Parliament) is a historic government building in Berlin which houses the Bundestag, the lower house of Germany's parliament. It was constructed to house the Imperial Diet (german: Reichstag) of the German Empire. It was opened in 1894 and housed the Diet until 1933, when it was set on fire. In World War II, during the Battle of Berlin, the building was severely damaged by the Soviet Red Army. After the War, the building fell into disuse; the parliament of the German Democratic Republic (the ) met in the Palast der Republik in East Berlin, while the parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany (the Bundestag) met in the in Bonn. Bremen (), officially the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (german: Freie Hansestadt Bremen; nds, Free Hansestadt Bremen), is the smallest and least populous of Germany's 16 states. It is informally called ("State of Bremen"), although the term is sometimes used in official contexts. The state consists of the city of Bremen and its seaport exclave, Bremerhaven, surrounded by the larger state of Lower Saxony in northern Germany. Geography The state of Bremen consists of two non-contiguous territories. Norbert Altenkamp
Norbert Altenkamp (born 27 July 1972) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2017. He previously served as mayor of Bad Soden. Early life and education Altenkamp was born in Marl, North Rhine-Westphalia. After his Abitur, he took up an apprenticeship as a bank teller at Dresdner Bank in Essen, followed by studying economics at the University of Münster. Political career Altenkamp entered the CDU in 1990. From 2004 to 2017, he was mayor of Bad Soden. He was first elected in 2003 with 63.3% of the vote and was re-elected in 2009 and 2015. Renata Alt (born 27 August 1965) is a German chemical engineer and politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Baden-Württemberg since 2017.
