The 10th Sabor was inaugurated on 22 July 2020. The assembly came into existence following the early parliamentary election on 5 July 2020 and consists of 151 representatives elected from 10 geographical and two special electoral districts. 2020 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 5 July 2020. They were the tenth parliamentary elections since the first multi-party elections in 1990 and elected the 151 members of the Croatian Parliament. 140 Members of Parliament were elected from geographical electoral districts in Croatia, three MPs were chosen by the Croatian diaspora and eight MPs came from the ranks of citizens registered as belonging to any of the 22 constitutionally recognized national minorities. During April 2020, there had been widespread media speculation that the election would be called earlier than originally planned, due to the uncertainty created by the still-ongoing worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Croatian Party Of Pensioners
The Croatian Party of Pensioners ( hr, Hrvatska stranka umirovljenika or HSU) is a Croatian centre-left political party that is currently led by Veselko Gabričević. When the party was founded, few people took it seriously and many commentators speculated that the ultimate purpose of HSU was to take away pensioners' votes from rejuvenated SDP and thus help ruling HDZ remain in power. However, the party gradually built its organisation throughout the country and slowly rose in popularity due to both HDZ and left-centre cabinets of Ivica Račan refusing to honour a Constitutional Court verdict that ordered the government to pay back pensions that had been denied in the early 1990s. Dražen Bošnjaković
Dražen Bošnjaković (born 6 January 1961) is a Croatian politician who had served as the Minister of Justice in the cabinet of Andrej Plenković from 2017 to 2020. Early life and education Bošnjaković was born in Vukovar in 1961. He lived in Ilok until he was eighteen. He was a good student, and after finishing high school he went to Zagreb and studied at the Law faculty. Croatian Social Liberal Party
The Croatian Social Liberal Party ( hr, Hrvatska socijalno-liberalna stranka or HSLS) is a conservative-liberal political party in Croatia. The HSLS was formed in 1989 as the first Croatian political party formed after the reintroduction of multi-party system.
