There are 137 local government areas of Western Australia (LGAs), which are areas, towns and districts in Western Australia that manage their own affairs to the extent permitted by the ''Local Government Act 1995''. The ''Local Government Act 1995'' also makes provision for regional local governments (referred to as "regional councils", established by two or more local governments for a particular purpose. Nambeelup, Western Australia
Nambeelup is a small town and dormitory suburb of the city of Mandurah in the Peel Region of Western Australia. Named after Nambeelup Brook, it is of a predominantly rural land use although it is home to several residential and industrial subdivisions through the St Davids development which, due to the Peel Region's fast population growth, will eventually become a major industrial area of Mandurah. Murrayfield Airport, a local airport servicing Mandurah, is located here. It does not provide any passenger services due to Mandurah's proximity to Perth Airport. Lake Clifton, Western Australia
Lake Clifton is a small town located on the east side of the lake of the same name in the Peel region of Western Australia just off the Old Coast Road, between Mandurah and Bunbury at the north end of the Yalgorup National Park. At the 2016 census, Lake Clifton had a population of 683.
