A magazine is a periodical publication, generally published on a regular schedule (often weekly or monthly), containing a variety of content. They are generally financed by advertising, purchase price, prepaid subscriptions, or by a combination of the three. ''L'Hebdo'' was a weekly French-language news magazine published in Lausanne, Switzerland. It existed between 1981 and 2017. History and profile ''L'Hebdo'' was established in 1981. The magazine, based in Lausanne, is part of Ringier and is published by Ringier weekly on Wednesdays. Its editor in chief is Alain Jeannet. The magazine, published in French, covers articles about social, economic and cultural issues. In 1997 ''L'Hebdo'' had a circulation of 56,950 copies. Between July 2004 and June 2005 its circulation was 43,911 copies. It was 44,870 between July 2005 and June 2006 and 48,451 copies between July 2006 and June 2007. Its circulation became 44,979 copies between July 2007 and June 2008. The circulation of the weekly was 45,000 copies in 2008 and 46,000 copies in 2009. ''The Global Journal'' was a bimonthly online and printed magazine published by the ''Société des Fondateurs de The Global Journal SA'' concentrating on global governance issues. It was established in June 2010 by Jean-Christophe Nothias. Its newsroom was located in Geneva. ''The Global Journal'' had its largest audience in North America, Europe, and India. ''FACTS'' was a weekly news magazine from Switzerland owned by Tamedia. The weekly published between 1995 and 2007. History and profile ''FACTS'' was established by Tamedia AG in 1995. The magazine initially oriented itself after the German magazine ''Focus'' until it obtained its own profile. It was among the leading news magazines in Switzerland. The magazine was published on a weekly basis in German and was part of Tamedia. In Spring 2002, the magazine was banned from the planes of the Swiss International Air Lines following the publication of an article criticizing the company. ''Ex Tempore'' is a literary magazine published annually by the United Nations Society of Writers, or in French, Societé des écrivains des Nations Unies. The magazine was started in 1989.
