Presidential Library (Turkey)
The Nation's Library of the Presidency ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Millet Kütüphanesi), also commonly referred to as the Presidential Library, is the largest library in Turkey, with a collection of over 4 million printed books and over 120 million electronic editions published in 134 languages. The Presidential Library, which has the largest incipient collection in the world, was officially inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 20, 2020. In addition to receiving a copy of materials printed in the country, as a depository library, the Presidential Library also receives books, in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry, from every country where Turkey has a diplomatic mission. National Library Of Turkey
The National Library of Turkey ( tr, Millî Kütüphane) is the national library of Turkey, located in Ankara. It was founded on April 15, 1946. History The National Library of Turkey, established in the Çankaya district of the city Ankara was established on April 15, 1946 under the Ministry of Education through the Directorate of Publications. The library initially had 8,000 printed works, but within the first year it had outgrown its original building, and in order to make the collection available to the public it moved to a temporary building on April 17, 1947. Soon the archive's size reached 60,000. It officially started to serve the users on August 16, 1948. The building is now used as the Ankara Provincial Public Library. The National Library gained a separate legal entity independent from the Ministry of National Education through a law adopted by the Grand National Assembly on March 23, 1950. Gölbaşı, Ankara
Gölbaşı is a town and district of the Ankara Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, south of the city of Ankara. According to a 2010 census, the population of the district is 95,109, 93,852 of whom live in the town of Gölbaşı. The district covers an area of , and the average elevation is . The district includes the Mogan and Eymir lakes. Although the lakes are polluted and infested with mosquitoes, the picnic areas and lakeside restaurants of Gölbaşı serve as a popular retreat from the city for the people of Ankara. Çankaya is a district of Ankara, Turkey. It is home to many government buildings, including the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, as well as nearly all foreign embassies to Turkey. Çankaya is a cosmopolitan district and considered the cultural and financial center of Ankara. Demographics The population of the central province is close to 1 million in 2016. History Until the founding of the Republic of Turkey in 1923, Çankaya was a hillside of orchards and gardens to the south of the city, which had grown up in time, surrounding the Ankara Castle (Kale) on the opposite hill.
