Samuel Macauley Jackson
Samuel Macauley Jackson (June 19, 1851 – August 2, 1912) was an American clergyman, editor and author. Biography He was born on June 19, 1851 in New York City to George T. Jackson and Letitia J. A. Macauley. After attending schools in New York, he entered the College of the City of New York in 1865, and graduated in 1870. (He was awarded an A. M. degree from the same institution in 1876.) He spent a year at the Princeton Theological Seminary, then he went to Union Seminary until 1873. He spent two years studying at the University of Leipzig and travelling in Europe and the Orient. In 1876 he became a Presbyterian pastor in Norwood, New Jersey. He remained until 1880 and spent two years as assistant editor for the ''Bible Dictionary'' by Scaff. After resigning his post as pastor, he became an editor of the ''Schaff-Herzog Encyclopædia of Living Divines''. Samar (island)
Samar ( ) is the third-largest and seventh-most populous island in the Philippines, with a total population of 1,909,537 as of the 2020 census. It is located in the eastern Visayas, which are in the central Philippines. The island is divided into three provinces: Samar (formerly Western Samar), Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar. These three provinces, along with the provinces on the nearby islands of Leyte and Biliran, are part of the Eastern Visayas region. About a third of the island of Samar is protected as a natural park, known as the Samar Island Natural Park. Samarina
Samarina ( el, Σαμαρίνα, rup, Samarina, Xamarina, San Marina) is a village and a former municipality in Grevena regional unit, West Macedonia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Grevena, of which it is a municipal unit. Its population primarily consists of Aromanians (sometimes called Vlachs). It attracts many tourists due to its scenic location and beautiful pine and beech forests. The population was 378 people as of 2011. The municipal unit has an area of 97.245 km2 (37½ sq. mi.).
