Leicestershire Cricket Board
The Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Board is the governing body for all recreational cricket in the Historic counties of England, historic counties of Leicestershire and Rutland. From 1999 to 2003 the Board fielded a team in the Friends Provident Trophy, English domestic one-day tournament under the name of the Leicestershire Cricket Board, matches which had List-A cricket, List-A status. Jigar Naik
Jigar Kumar Hakumatrai Naik (born 10 August 1984) is an English cricket player. Jigar was both at Leicester and educated at Rushey Mead School and Gateway College in the city. He is, as of June 2015, playing for Leicestershire. Naik who played for Kibworth and Billesdon as well as Loughborough MCCU, made history when he became the first Leicester-born Asian to play for Leicestershire in a first-class game against a touring West Indies A side. Naik took one wicket, that of test batsmen Dwayne Smith. In Naik's first county game against Glamorgan in the Pro40, he took 3/24. Naik has been a consistsent performer since 2009. In 2009 he was named Leicestershire's most improved uncapped player. In 2010, Naik topped the national bowling averages with 35 wickets at an average of 17.59, including 7–96 against Surrey at The Oval. Michael Sutliff
Michael Sutliff (born 8 November 1975) was an English cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper. Born in Melton Mowbray, he played for the Leicestershire Cricket Board in List A cricket, between 1999 and 2002, having represented Leicestershire County Cricket Club in the Second XI championship since his debut in 1992 at the age of 16. Sutliff represented the Leicestershire Board four times in the NatWest (later the C&G) trophy, and played once for the Gloucestershire County Board. He did not appear in any first-class cricket.
