Joseph Philippe Karam
Joseph Philippe Karam (1923–1976) was a Lebanese architect. He was a leading figure of modern architecture in Lebanon during the country's golden era, 1945 to 1975. Karam founded his practice the Atelier d'Architecture Joseph Philippe Karam in the late 1940s. Completed projects During his short life, Karam was a prolific designer and builder. Hashim Sarkis
Hashim A. Sarkis (Arabic: هاشم سركيس ; born 1964 in Beirut) is a Lebanon, Lebanese educator and architect. Since 2015, Sarkis has been Professor and Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also founding principal of Hashim Sarkis Studios since 1998. Career Born in Beirut, Sarkis received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design (1987), his Master of Architecture with distinction (1989), and his Doctor of Philosophy from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (1995). His dissertation was entitled "Publics and Architects: Re-Engaging Design in the Democracy," and was advised by Peter G. Rowe, K. Chadi Georges Massaad is an architect and a Lebanese businessman, former president of the Central Fund for the Displaced. MariaGroup is known for its work in the fields of architecture, interior design, and furniture design. Maroun Kassab
Maron, also called Maroun or Maro ( syr, ܡܪܘܢ, '; ar, مارون; la, Maron; grc-gre, Μάρων), was a 4th-century Syrian Syriac Christian hermit monk in the Taurus Mountains whose followers, after his death, founded a religious Christian movement that became known as the Syriac Maronite Church, in full communion with the Holy See and the Catholic Church. The religious community which grew from this movement are the modern Maronites. Saint Maron is often portrayed in a black monastic habit with a hanging stole, accompanied by a long crosier staffed by a globe surmounted with a cross. Nadim Karam ( ar, نديم كرم); (born 1957) is a multidisciplinary Lebanese artist and architect who fuses his artistic output with his background in architecture to create large-scale urban art projects in different cities of the world. He uses his vocabulary of forms in urban settings to narrate stories and evoke collective memory with a very particular whimsical, often absurdist approach; seeking to 'create moments of dreams' in different cities of the world.
