Valērijs Šabala (born 12 October 1994) is a Latvian footballer, who plays for B36 Tórshavn of the Faroe Islands Premier League. Club career Early career As a youth player Šabala was a member of Daugava Rīga academy. With the club winning the 2008 Latvian First League and being promoted to the Latvian Higher League for the 2009 season, Šabala was one of the youngsters to be included in the first team squad by the manager Vladimirs Beļajevs. Šabala made his debut on 15 October 2009, having just turned 15, when he came on as a substitute in the 46th minute in an 8–0 loss against the defending champions FK Ventspils. Ruslan Kamilyevich Mingazov ( tk, Ruslan Kamilýewiç Mingazow; born 23 November 1991) is a Turkmenistani professional footballer who currently plays for Hong Kong Premier League club Kitchee, as a right or left midfielder. Juris Laizāns (born 6 January 1979) is a Latvian former professional footballer. A midfielder, he spent a large part of his playing career abroad in Russia. He made 113 appearances for the Latvia national team scoring 15 goals. Club career Born in Riga, Laizāns started his career with Skonto FC and moved to the Russian team CSKA Moscow in 2000. His team managed to win the UEFA Cup. After leaving CSKA Laizāns kept playing in Russia for FC Torpedo Moscow, FC Rostov, FC Kuban Krasnodar and FC Shinnik Yaroslavl. In 2009, he came back to Latvia, signing for Olimps/RFS, later also playing for FK Ventspils and participating in the UEFA Europa League group stages. Sergejs Kožans (born 16 February 1986) is a Latvian former football defender, who played as a defender. He is currently first-team coach at Riga. Club career As a youth player Kožans played for JFC Skonto, making his professional debut in 2005. He spent 4 years playing for Skonto Riga in the Latvian Higher League, all in all making 51 appearances and scoring 5 goals. In 2009, alongside his team-mate Ivans Lukjanovs, Kožans joined the Polish Ekstraklasa side Lechia Gdańsk. In his first season with Lechia Kožans played 18 matches and scored 1 goal.
