List Of K-Pop Concerts Held Outside Asia
During the Korean Wave (Hallyu), K-pop artists took their concerts outside of South Korea, and with increased exposure, becoming a huge success in other Asian countries. Soon after, record label companies started experimenting expanding into the western music markets outside Asia. The word "Hallyu" (韓流; 한류) first originated in China during the 1990s by journalists that were surprised with how rapid Korean music had spread throughout China. One study that examined the number of concerts held during the 2010s indicated that East and Southeast Asia had the most concerts, with North America and to a lesser extent Europe showing some consistent growth. Nevertheless, Asia remains a priority for K-pop artists when hosting concerts due to cultural similarities, lesser expenditures, distance and its established and strong patronage. Kim Junsu
Kim Jun-su (; born December 15, 1986) or simply Junsu, also known by the stage name Xia (stylized as XIA; ; ko, 시아) is a South Korean singer, model, dancer and stage actor. He is a member of the Korean pop group and later duo JYJ, and was one of the original members of boy band TVXQ. Kim made his debut in 2003 as a member of TVXQ, a boy band produced and formed by South Korean record label and talent agency SM Entertainment, having previously been a trainee for six years. He had released four Korean albums, four Japanese albums, thirty Japanese singles and several Korean singles during his first six years in the music industry as TVXQ.
