Iran Pro League
The Persian Gulf Pro League (, ''Lig-e Bartar-e Xalij-e Fârs''), formerly known as the Iran Premier League (, ''Lig-e bartar-e Irân''), is a professional association football league in Iran and the highest level of the Iranian football league system. It is controlled by the FFIRI and is contested by 16 teams over a 30-matchday period. Each year, its top team becomes the Iranian football champion, and the two lowest finishers are relegated to the Azadegan League. Since 2013, the league comprises 16 teams. The winner of the Persian Gulf Pro League along with the Hazfi Cup champion automatically qualify for the AFC Champions League Elite group stages. The third of the Persian Gulf Pro League is qualified for the AFC Champions League Elite Play-off round. The bottom two teams in the league are relegated to Azadegan League. Foolad Khuzestan Football Club (, ''Bāshgāh-e Futbāl-e Fulād-e Khuzestān'') is an Iranian professional football club based in Ahvaz, Khuzestan, that plays in Persian Gulf Pro League. The club was founded in 1971 and is owned by Foolad Khuzestan Company. The club has won Iran Pro League twice, including a championship in the lower division, Azadegan League. In the 2004–05 season, Foolad became the champion of the fourth newly founded Iran Pro League (IPL), gaining a total of 64 points over 30 league matches. After several seasons, Foolad lost many of its key players through transfers and internal problems and also displayed a poor performance in the 2006 AFC Champions League. Amin Jahan Kohan (; born 7 March 1993) is an Iranian football midfielder who plays for the Iranian club Aluminium Arak. Club career Foolad Jahan Kohan started his career with Foolad Academy. In winter 2011, he was placed on the first team by Majid Jalali. He made his debut for Foolad on January 11, 2012 against Mes Sarcheshmeh as a substitute for Hakim Nassari. Karrar Jassim Mohammed Al-Mahmoudi (, born 11 June 1987) known as Karrar Jassim, is an Iraqi former professional footballer, who played for the Iraq national team. Club career Impressive displays for Najaf in the 2007 AFC Champions League, where he scored two goals in six matches, earned Karrar Jassim Mohammed a move to Qatar where he signed for Al Wakra at the start of June 2007. In 2009 Karrar signed for Iranian side Tractor S.C. for one season. During a Tractor match, Karrar was banned for 9 games following an incident in which he slapped the match assistant referee.
