Maccabi Rishon LeZion ( he, מכבי ראשון לציון) is a basketball club based in Rishon LeZion, Israel. The club plays in the Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli basketball. The greatest achievement of the club has been winning the 2016 Israeli Basketball Premier League championship. The club is one of the most popular basketball clubs in Israel, and has played in the Israeli Basketball Premier League since 1989. Rishon LeZion ( he, רִאשׁוֹן לְצִיּוֹן , ''lit.'' First to Zion, Arabic: راشون لتسيون) is a city in Israel, located along the central Israeli coastal plain south of Tel Aviv.
