The following is a list of hospitals in the Volta Region of Ghana as well as Health Centres. The Volta Region has a population of 1,955.371. The population density is 87 square kilometres with 30% of the population living in urban areas. It is divided into 18 administrative districts with Ho as the regional capital. There are a total of 2,752 communities in the region. The region has a Regional Health Directorate which has oversight for the health facilities in the region. Under this are 18 municipal and district health directorates and a total of 84 health sub-districts. Ho Teaching Hospital
Ho Teaching Hospital formerly ''Volta Regional Hospital'' and popularly known as Trafalgar is the regional and teaching hospital in Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana. It was the main referral facility in the Volta Region until it was upgraded to a teaching hospital in 2019 to serve the University of Health and Allied Sciences. It was commissioned as a Teaching Hospital by the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu on 29 April 2019 after the Hospital went through strenuous accreditation process by all the Health Professional Regulatory Bodies and the Health Facilities Regulatory Authority in Ghana. Dzodze
Dzodze is a small town, the capital and administrative centre of Ketu North Municipality, a district in the south eastern corner of the Volta Region of Ghana. From the Exodus of the Ewe people, some of them arrived and stayed in Dzodze, in the Volta Region of Ghana after the fall of the wall of Notse. The natives speak Ewe (Eʋe) the main language in Dzodze. They are an Anlo-Ewe community. The traditional rhythm of this land is Agbadja, and Ageshe. Ketu North Municipal District
Ketu North Municipal District, also known as Ketu-Dzigbe Municipal District, is one of the eighteen districts in Volta Region, Ghana. Abor, Ghana
Abor (Abaw, Abↄ) is a town in the Keta Municipal District of the Volta Region in southeast Ghana. Abor lies east of the Volta River and just north of the Keta Lagoon. Abor is known for Abor Senior High School, often referred to as ABORSCO. The school is a second cycle institution. Keta
Keta is a coastal town in the Volta Region of Ghana. It is the capital of the Keta Municipal District. Keta was an important trading post between the 14th and the late 20th centuries. The town attracted the interest of the Danish, because they felt they could establish a base here without interference from rival European nations. Their first initiative was to place a factory at Keta to sell alcohol. In 1792, a war between Anloga and Keta broke out. The original people then migrated across the lagoon to Klikor to establish the Somey State with Agbozume as its capital. Keta was then repopulated with people from other areas of the surrounding communities. Faced with the threat of war between Peki and an alliance of the Ashanti and the Akwamu, the North German Missionary Society (also known as the Bremen Missionaries) moved the focus of their activities from Peki to Keta. Keta Municipal District
Keta Municipal District is one of the eighteen districts in Volta Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Keta District, which was created from the former Anlo District Council, until it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2007 (effectively 29 February 2008) to become Keta Municipal District. However on 19 February 2019, the western part of the district was split off to create Anloga District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Keta Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southeast part of Volta Region and has Keta as its capital town. Hohoe
Hohoe Municipal is one of the 25 administrative districts of the Volta Region of Ghana. It was carved out of the former Kpando District. It was established by the Legislative Instrument (L.I. 2072) of 2012. The Municipality has a total land area of 1,172 km2, which is 5.6 per cent of the land area of the region. It shares borders with the Republic of Togo on the east, forming part of Ghana's international border; on the southeast by the Afadzato district and southwest by Kpando Municipality; on the north with Jasikan district; and on the northwest with the Biakoye districts. Have is a town located in the western valley of the Akwapim-Togo, Akwapim Togo mountain range, locally called Ewetogbeka or :sv:Nyito, Nyito, in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region of Ghana.
