Kao Pao-shu
Kao Pao-shu or Gao Baoshu (; 1932–2000) was a Chinese actress, producer, writer and film director who appeared in over 100 films during her career. Originally from China, Kao moved to Hong Kong in 1951, where she acted in minor roles before joining Shaw Brothers Studio in 1958. Here, she starred in over 80 films, working alongside directors Yueh Feng and Cheng Kang, and she made her directorial debut in 1970 in ''Lady with a Sword''. Later she started her own company, producing films throughout the 1970s before she retired in the 1980s. In July 2000, she died at the age of 68. Biography Kao was born in Jiangsu, China, and left school at the age of 13 to find work following the death of her father. She worked as a reporter in Anhui and joined a drama troupe where she met actor Chiang Nan, whom she later married. Lo Wei
Lo Wei ( 12 December 1918 – 20 January 1996) was a Hong Kong film director and film actor best known for launching the martial arts film careers of both Bruce Lee, in ''The Big Boss'' and ''Fist of Fury'', and Jackie Chan, in ''New Fist of Fury''. Career Lo began his entertainment career as an actor in the Second World War. He moved to Hong Kong in 1948. During the 1950's Lo became a popular matinee idol. After Lee's death it was Lo who gave Jackie Chan his first shot at the big time as part of the wave of Bruceploitation. Lo is said to have been linked with Chinese organized crime, the Triads. Lo ran the production company "Lo Wei Motion Picture Company", which operated until 1977-78 due to heavy cost-cutting measures as a result of Jackie Chan signing a deal with Golden Harvest. Chan Hung-lit (7 June 1943 – 24 November 2009), was a Hong Kong actor famous for portraying villains from the 1960s to 1980s. Background Chan started his acting career after joining Shaw Brothers Studio in 1964. and mainly acted in ''wuxia'' and martial arts films. He rose to fame after portraying the antagonist in the 1966 ''wuxia'' film, ''Come Drink with Me''. Chan later got his first leading role as a protagonist in the 1970 ''wuxia'' film, ''The Winged Tiger''. In 1988, Chan took a hiatus from his acting career and was involved in the garment industry. He later resumed his acting career by joining TVB in 1995, left the following year and did not return again until 2003. Yichang (), alternatively romanized as Ichang, is a prefecture-level city located in western Hubei province, China. It is the third largest city in the province after the capital, Wuhan and the prefecture-level city Xiangyang, by urban population. The Three Gorges Dam is located within its administrative area, in Yiling District. History In ancient times Yichang was known as Yiling.
