The Minister of Home Affairs (or simply, the Home Minister, short-form HM) is the head of Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. One of the senior-most officers in the Cabinet of Andhra Pradesh, the chief responsibility of the Home Minister is the maintenance of Andhra Pradesh's internal security; the state's police force comes under its jurisdiction. Occasionally, they are assisted by the Minister of State of Home Affairs. Ever since the time of formation of Andhra Pradesh. the office has been seen as second in seniority with par to FRinacen minister only to the Chief Minister in the state Cabinet. The Emblem of Andhra Pradesh is the state emblem of Andhra Pradesh, India. Design The emblem features a Purna Ghataka at the centre encircled by a Dharmachakra symbolising the "wheel of law", portrayed from Amaravati school of arts, surrounded by the name of the state in Telugu, English and Sanskrit. Soorisetty Anjineyulu, a drawing master from Nellore is the creator of the emblem, which was selected out of 300 emblems that were submitted. Patlolla Sabitha Indra Reddy (born 5 May 1963) is an Indian politician who has been the Minister for Education of Telangana state since 2019. Reddy started her political career with the Indian National Congress and in 2009 became the first woman Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, serving until 2014. Earlier, she served as the Minister of Mines and Geology of Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009. Kunduru Jana Reddy (born 20 June 1946) is an Indian politician. He was the leader of opposition in first Telangana Assembly and served as the Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Water Supply in the State of Andhra Pradesh during its term from 2009 to 2014. Alimineti Madhava Reddy (28 February 1949 – 7 March 2000) was an Indian politician from the state of Andhra Pradesh. He was elected four times to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Bhongir constituency representing the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Early life Dharma Rao was born in Annvarapu lanka, Kollipara Mandal, Andhra Pradesh, one of ten children in an agricultural household.
