The Governor of Chaco ( es, Gobernador de la Provincia del Chaco) is a citizen of the Chaco Province, in Argentina, holding the office of governor for the corresponding period. The governor is elected alongside a vice-governor. Oscar Domingo Peppo (born 6 July 1958) is an Argentine politician. He was elected governor of the Chaco Province in 2015 (with 55.42% of the vote). In the early 1980s, he received a degree in construction, hydraulic and civil engineering in Resistencia and later worked as technical representative and general coordinator of the silo plants for a company. He also previously served as mayor of Villa Ángela. Ángel Rozas
Ángel Rozas (born 22 March 1950) is a retired Argentine politician. A member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), Rozas was Governor of Chaco Province from 1995 to 2003, and served as a National Senator for Chaco from 2013 to 2019. Rozas was born in General Pinedo, Chaco, to a smallholding family. He earned a law degree at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Rozas first held elected office in 1983 as a Chaco Provincial Deputy, serving for three terms. He was a candidate to be vice-governor in 1987. Rozas served as governor of Chaco Province from December 1995 to December 2003, re-elected in 1999. In 1999 he was also elected vice-president of the national committee of the UCR and in 2001 was elected president, serving until 2005 when he was replaced by Roberto Iglesias. Chamber Of Deputies Of Chaco
The Chamber of Deputies of Chaco Province ( es, Cámara de Diputados de la Provincia del Chaco), also widely known as the Legislative Power (''Poder Legislativo''), is the unicameral legislative body of Chaco Province, in Argentina. It convenes in the provincial capital, Resistencia. It comprises 32 legislators elected in a single multi-member province-wide district through proportional representation. Members are elected by halves in staggered elections for four-year terms every two years. Unlike most other provincial legislatures in Argentina, the Chamber of Deputies of Chaco is not presided by the provincial vice governor. Juan Carlos Bacileff Ivanoff (born 1 January 1949) is an Argentine politician who served as interim governor of Chaco Province from 2013 to 2015. He was vice governor of Chaco from 2007 to 2015, serving under Jorge Capitanich; upon Capitanich's appointment as Cabinet Chief of Argentina in November 2013, Bacileff Ivanoff stepped in as governor in interim position until Capitanich's dismissal in February 2015. Roy Abelardo Nikisch (born 1951) is an Argentine Radical Civic Union senator, who served as governor of Chaco Province between 2003 and 2007. The Radical Civic Union ( es, Unión Cívica Radical, UCR) is a centrist and social-liberal political party in Argentina. It has been ideologically heterogeneous, ranging from social liberalism to social democracy. The UCR is a member of the Socialist International. Founded in 1891 by radical liberals, it is the oldest political party active in Argentina after the Liberal Party of Corrientes.
