Alexandre Tsutsunava ( ka, ალექსანდრე წუწუნავა; born – 25 October 1955) was a Georgian theatre and film director. His film ''Christine'', based on a story by Egnate Ninoshvili, ( ka, ქრისტინე) was the first Georgian feature film A feature film or feature-length film is a narrative film (motion picture or "movie") with a running time long enough to be considered the principal or sole presentation in a commercial entertainment program. Vasil Amashukeli ( ka, ვასილ ამაშუკელი) (March 14, 1886 in Kutaisi – December 1, 1977 in Tbilisi) was an early Georgia (country), Georgian film director and cinematographer who worked in the Cinema of Azerbaijan and Cinema of Georgia, Georgia. He studied at Vasil Tamarashvili Art School in Kutaisi. In 1908 he graduated from Moscow division courses of French film firm “Gomon”. Amashukeli is the first Georgian documentary director. In 1907 Amashukeli working in Baku made several films of oil production in the capital including the extracting process. His films included ''Bakı Bazarlarının Tipləri'' (Types of Bakuvian Bazaars - short documentary), ''Daş Kömür Daşınması'' (Transportation of Coal), ''Dəniz kənarında gəzinti'' (Seaside Walk), ''Neft buruqlarında iş'' (Work at Oil Derricks), and ''Neftin çıxarılması'' (Oil Extraction (film), Oil Extraction) all filmed in 1907. Vasil (Vaso) Abashidze ( ka, ვასო (ვასილ) აბაშიძე; russian: Васи́лий Абаши́дзе) (4 December 1854 – 9 October 1926) was a Georgian theater actor and a founder of a realistic acting tradition in Georgia. Career Born in Dusheti, Georgia, then part of Tiflis Governorate, Russian Empire, Abashidze worked as a teacher in Kutaisi and Azerbaijan. At the same time, he played for amateur theatre troupes in Kutaisi. In 1879, he joined the renewed professional Georgian dramatic troupe in Tiflis and featured in comedies by both Georgian and foreign authors. His best roles included Famusov (Griboyedov’s ''Woe from Wit''), Khlestakov (Gogol’s ''The Government Inspector''), Belogubov and Iusov (Alexander Ostrovsky’s ''A Lucrative Post''), and Tartuffe and Argan (Molière’s '' The Imaginary Invalid'').
