List Of Genocides
This list includes all events which have been classified as genocide by significant scholarship. As there are varying definitions of genocide, this list includes events around which there is ongoing scholarly debate over their classification as ''genocide'' and is not a list of only events which have a scholarly consensus to recognize them as genocide. This list excludes mass killings which have not been explicitly defined as genocidal. Definitions Scholarship varies on the definition of genocide employed when analysing whether events are genocidal in nature. The United Nations Genocide Convention, not always employed, defines genocide as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruc ...

Gaza Health Ministry
The Gaza Health Ministry is the government agency responsible for healthcare and medical services in the Gaza Strip of the Palestinian territories. It operates under the administration of the Hamas authority that has run the territory since 2007. During the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, concerns were raised regarding the accuracy of the ministry's casualty numbers. Groups such as the UN, WHO, Human Rights Watch and the US Department of State have historically considered the ministry's numbers reliable. However, the ministry's numbers do not differentiate between civilians and combatants and pin all deaths, whether from Israeli attacks or errant Palestinian rockets, on what the ministry terms "Israeli aggression". History The Palestinian territories (the West Bank and the Gaza Strip) used to be served by a single government ministry of health. Following Hamas' takeover of Gaza in 2007, the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip has appointed its own alternate health ministers than tho ...

Gaza Genocide
Israel has been accused by experts, governments, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organisations of carrying out a genocide against the Palestinian people during its invasion and bombing of the Gaza Strip as part of the ongoing Israel–Hamas war. By July 2024, after nine months of attacks, Israeli military action had resulted in nearly 40,000 confirmed Palestinian deaths — 1 out of every 59 people in Gaza — averaging 148 deaths per day. Most of the victims are civilians, including over 25,000 women and children and 103 journalists. Thousands more dead bodies are under the rubble of destroyed buildings. By June 2024, over 500 healthcare workers in Gaza had been killed. As of May 2024, only 12 of Gaza's 36 hospitals are functional; 84% of health centers in the region have been destroyed or suffered damage. An enforced Israeli blockade has heavily contributed to starvation and the threat of famine in the Gaza Strip, while Israeli forces prevented humanitari ...
