British Kebab Awards
The British Kebab Awards (colloquially know as the 'kebabbies') are an annual event to celebrate local kebab restaurants across the UK. The awards were founded by Ibrahim Dogus, an entrepreneur, restaurateur and founder of the Centre for Turkey Studies (CEFTUS), in 2013. Since their creation, the awards have attracted politicians from different political parties to network and present awards, including Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Sadiq Khan MP in 2016. The awards are sponsored by internet fast food delivery provider Just Eat, and have attracted significant attention in both traditional and social media, being dubbed the KeBAFTAs by fans on Twitter. Founder Ibrahim Dogus is a former waiter, owner of Troia restaurant in Waterloo, London, and the son of Kurdish refugees from Turkey who arrived in the UK in 1994. The World's 50 Best Restaurants
The World's Best 50 Restaurants is a list produced by UK media company William Reed, which originally appeared in the British magazine ''Restaurant'' in 2002. The list and awards however are no longer directly related to ''Restaurant'' magazine, though they are owned by the same media company. In addition to the main 1–50 ranking, the organisation awards a series of special prizes for individuals and restaurants, including the One To Watch Award, the Icon Award, the Best Female Chef Award and the Chefs' Choice Award, the latter based on votes from the fifty head chefs from the restaurants on the previous year's list. The Canadian Stroke Network (CSN) is a non-profit healthcare organization. About The Canadian Stroke Network is a not-for-profit, collaborative effort, with more than 100 researchers at 24 universities across Canada. It began in 1999, with $4.7 million in funding from the federal government. It is governed by a Board of Directors and has its headquarters at the University of Ottawa. The Anti Additive Association (A.A) is a non-profit organization that sets standards, certifies, and labels in order to provide an additive-free food environment. The A.A. also supports and facilitates the work of anti additive and clean label, the concepts which both originated in the Netherlands, Europe.
