The following is a list of episodes for the cartoon '' Donkey Kong Country''. The series aired from August 15, 1997, to July 7, 2000 on Teletoon, France 2 and KidsCo. It has been reported that there are two season numbering schemes that exist for the series that conflict with one another. Nelvana themselves have considered the series to not be made as two seasons, but rather they were set up as three cycles (13x13x14). ''Donkey Kong Country'' is a computer animated musical television series that is based on the video game ''Donkey Kong Country'' from Nintendo and Rare. The series was co-produced by Nelvana, Medialab Studio L.A. (Season 1) and Hong Guang Animation (Season 2), in association with WIC Entertainment, with the participation of Teletoon—for Season 1, it was produced in co-production with France 2, Canal+, in association with Valar 4. The show was first introduced in France on September 4, 1996, on France 2, on a hybrid live action and motion capture animated block titled '' La Planète de Donkey Kong'' (''The Planet of Donkey Kong''). Teletoon
Teletoon (stylized as TELETOON) is a Canadian English-language specialty channel owned by Teletoon Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. Its name is a portmanteau of "television" and " cartoon". The channel primarily broadcasts animated series aimed at children and teenagers. It was launched on October 17, 1997 by a consortium of Western International Communications, Astral Media, Shaw Communications, Cinar and Nelvana. Later on, Astral Media acquired WIC's shares of Teletoon in 2000 while Shaw spun off its media assets to form Corus Entertainment who acquired Nelvana that same year. Peter Sauder is a Canadian film and TV writer, television producer and animator best known for his contributions to Nelvana franchises such as ''Care Bears'' (whose three movies he wrote), ''Babar'', ''Strawberry Shortcake'' and '' Droids''.
