This is a list of airline codes. The table lists IATA's two-character airline designators, ICAO's three-character airline designators and the airline call signs (telephony designator). The Cessna 177 Cardinal is a light single-engine, high-wing general aviation aircraft produced by Cessna. It was intended to replace the Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Marion Alice Orr
Marion Alice Orr, CM (born Powell; 25 June 1918 – 4 April 1995) was a pioneering Canadian aviator who was the first woman to run a flying school. She served with the Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II and was awarded the Order of Canada in 1986. Early life Orr was born Marion Alice Powell in Toronto, Ontario. On 5 January 1940, she obtained her private pilot's licence after working to pay for her flying lessons. She then worked as an aircraft inspector at de Havilland Canada, and qualified for her commercial licence two years afterwards. She was the second woman in Canada to qualify as an air traffic control assistant. In 1942 she married D.K. "Deke" Orr. He helped her gain her instructor's licence in 1942. Maple Airport was a small airfield in the Township of Vaughan (now a city) in York Region, Ontario, Canada that was open from 1955 until 1987. The airport, established by Marion Alice Orr, one of Canada's first women pilots, consisted of two runways in an X pattern; and . The early runway were grass strip and paved over in 1960. At one point, the Maple Airport was the third-busiest private commercial and civilian airport in Canada not to have a control tower. The urbanization of Vaughan and the Maple area led to the closure of the airport in 1987. Nothing remains of the airport today, which is now the site of a housing development and Le Petite Prince Catholic Elementary School.
