Søren Dahl
Søren Dahl (born 15 July 1993) is a Danish swimmer. He competed in the men's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He studied at North Carolina State University, where he was a member of the NC State swimming and Diving team. Dahl won two NCAA titles at the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. His first title came as part of the NC State 400 freestyle relay squad, the first national relay championship for NC State and the ACC conference. Then in 2017, the NC State 800 freestyle relay squad won the national championship. Held, Vazaios, Ress, and Dahl put up the fastest time in history setting both NCAA and U.S. open records. In 2018, Dahl was named as a recipient of the Atlantic Coast Conference Postgraduate Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to student-athletes that has performed with distinction in both the classroom and their respective sport, while demonstrating exemplary conduct in the community. Omega SA is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. The women's 400 metre freestyle event at the 2012 Summer Olympics took place on 29 July at the London Aquatics Centre in London, United Kingdom. France's Camille Muffat held off a sprint duel from a hard-charging American Allison Schmitt with every stroke on the final stretch to capture the event's second Olympic title for her nation, since Laure Manaudou topped the podium in 2004. She maintained her powerful lead from the start to edge out Schmitt by 0.32 seconds for the gold medal and a new Olympic record in 4:01.45. Meanwhile, Schmitt could not catch Muffat on a head-to-head duel to finish with an American record of 4:01.77 in the process of winning silver. Great Britain's Rebecca Adlington struggled through the race in her Olympic title defense, but brought out a raucous cheer from the home crowd to earn the bronze in 4:03.01. Birkerød SK
Birkerød () is a town in Rudersdal Municipality in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is surrounded by several lakes and small woodlands. Birkerød station is located on the Hillerød radial of the S-train suburban network. History The parish of Birkerød contained the villages Birkerød, Kajerød, Bistrup, Ravnsnæs, Isterød, Høsterkøb, Sandbjerg and Ubberød. Birkerød became a railway town in 1868, when the Nordbanen railway opened a station here between Lyngby and Helsingør. This led to new growth and several brickyards opened in the area in the second half of the 19th century. The rail line between Copenhagen and Hillerød was later converted to an S-train suburban line and construction of new residential neighbourhoods accelerated in the 1940s which, in time, made Birkerød merge with Bistrup to the south, Kajerød to the west and Ravnsnæs to the east.
