This list includes the appointment date and performance record of current AFL Women's senior coaches. The league consists of women's teams from eight of the Australian Football League (AFL) clubs, with every state which has an AFL team, featuring at least one AFL Women's team. Craig Starcevich, the senior coach of the Brisbane Lions since June 2016, was the first coach to be appointed in the league. Bec Goddard, the senior coach of the Adelaide Football Club since August 2016, won the inaugural premiership in the 2017 season. Bec Goddard
Rebecca 'Bec' Goddard is an Australian rules football coach currently serving as the head coach of the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Goddard also previously coached Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW) between 2017 and 2018, winning the 2017 AFL Women's Grand Final. She was assistant coach of the University of Canberra Capitals in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) in 2018/19, when it won the league championship. Playing career Goddard played Australian rules football as a junior until the age of 13 before the absence of a girls competition forced her to stop. When Canberra got its first women's competition some seven years later, Goddard again returned to playing. She played for Belconnen at that level before a broken leg at age 29 forced her to swap her playing career for one in umpiring and coaching. Natalie Wood
Natalie Wood ( Zacharenko; July 20, 1938 – November 29, 1981) was an American actress who began her career in film as a child and successfully transitioned to young adult roles. Wood started acting at age four and was given a co-starring role at age 8 in ''Miracle on 34th Street'' (1947). This list includes the appointment date and performance record of current Australian Football League senior coaches. The league consists of 18 clubs across Australia, with at least two clubs in every state/territory apart from Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. Damien Hardwick, the senior coach of the Richmond Football Club since August 2009, is currently the longest-serving coach in the league. He has also won the most premierships (3) among active coaches. Chris Scott, the senior coach of the Geelong Football Club since October 2010, has won the most matches (179) and has the best winning percentage at 70.28%. Michael Prior
Michael Prior (born 6 September 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the AFL's Essendon Football Club and the West Coast Eagles. He is currently serving as the senior coach of in the AFL Women's competition. Drafted third overall in the 1992 AFL Draft, he made the unusual choice at the time to remain with his original club, East Perth, for the 1993 season, Essendons famous 'Baby Bombers' premiership winning year, as he felt that playing regular league football in the WAFL would be better for his development. Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy disagreed with this theory but allowed him to do so. He played 81 games for the Bombers between 1994 and 2000. After the 2000 season, he was dropped by the Bombers and then picked up by West Coast. Nick Dal Santo
Nick Dal Santo (born 22 February 1984) is the senior coach of the St Kilda Football Club in the AFL Women's competition and a retired Australian rules footballer who played for St Kilda and North Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL). Australian Football Career Drafted by St Kilda FC & Debut 2002 Dal Santo was drafted by St Kilda with the thirteenth selection in the 2001 AFL Draft, which was obtained by St Kilda FC as part of a trade deal which sent 1997 Grand Final Player Barry Hall to Sydney. Cameron Joyce (born 6 June 1992) is a field hockey player from Australia. Personal life Cameron Joyce was born and raised in Port Pirie, South Australia. Career Club level Throughout his junior career, Joyce played hockey for Risdon Hockey Club in Port Pirie. Daniel Lowther (born 19 April 1977) is the coach of the Geelong Football Club, Geelong AFL Women's, AFLW team, and is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong Football Club, Geelong in the Australian Football League (AFL). Lowther was originally from Diamond Creek Football Club, Diamond Creek, but drafted out of the Northern Knights. Geelong selected him with pick 61 in the 1995 AFL Draft, 1995 National Draft. Playing career Lowther made his debut for Geelong in 1997, before making 30 of his 34 league appearances in 1998 and 1999. Lisa Webb
Lisa Webb (; born 27 April 1984) is a former Australian rules footballer and current senior coach of the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Early life Webb placed second at the 2002–03 Australian Track & Field Championships competing in the heptathlon. Playing career Webb was drafted by Fremantle with their first selection and the second selection overall in the 2017 AFL Women's rookie draft. She made her debut and was named one of Fremantle's best players in the thirteen point win over at Optus Stadium in round 2 of the 2018 season. She played six games in 2018. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Through the AFL Commission, the AFL also serves as the sport's governing body and is responsible for controlling the laws of the game. Originally known as the Victorian Football League (VFL), it was founded in 1896 as a breakaway competition from the Victorian Football Association (VFA), with its inaugural season commencing the following year. The VFL, aiming to become a national competition, began expanding beyond Victoria to other Australian states in the 1980s, and changed its name to the AFL in 1990. In association footballing terms, a caretaker manager or interim manager is somebody who takes temporary charge of the management of a football team, usually when the regular Manager (association football), manager is dismissed or leaves for a different club.
