The Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL; Spanish for "World Wrestling Council") has held a variety of different professional wrestling tournaments since it was founded in 1933. CMLL holds several annually recurring tournaments as well as tournaments to either determine who should hold a championship or who should challenge for a championship. CMLL has also held some uniquely ''lucha libre'' tournaments, such as a "Losers Advance" '' Ruleta de la Muerte'' ("Roulette of death") tournament when the loser of the final match would be forced to either unmask or have his or her hair shaved off. As professional wrestling tournaments, they are not won and lost legitimately; they are instead won via a predefined outcome of matches. Professional Wrestling Promotion
A professional wrestling promotion is a company or business that regularly performs shows involving professional wrestling that has little relationship to the rules of the amateur olympic form. "Promotion" also describes a role which entails management, advertising and logistics of running a wrestling event (''see promoter''). Within the convention of the show, the company is a sports governing body which sanctions wrestling matches and gives authority to the championships and is responsible for maintaining the divisions and their rankings. In truth, the company serves as a touring theatre troupe, as well as event promotion body for its own events. The most prominent promotions in the United States are World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor (ROH), Major League Wrestling (MLW), and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). MS-1 (wrestler)
Pablo Fuentes Reyna (December 31, 1956 – January 12, 2012) was a Mexican luchador (Spanish for professional wrestler) best known under the ring name MS-1 (MS Uno). As MS-1, Fuentes was a founding member of the wrestling group called ''Los Infernales'' (the Infernals) and achieved most of his success as part of the group, including being the first Mexican National Trios Champions and the first CMLL World Trios Champions. Fuentes' son is also a professional wrestler working as MS-1 Jr. or MS-Jr. Professional wrestling career Reyna made his professional wrestling debut on July 12, 1978 at the age of 21, wrestling under his real name Pablo Fuentes. CMLL World Women's Championship
The CMLL World Women's Championship (''Campeonato Mundial Femenil de CMLL'' in Spanish) is the championship in women's professional wrestling that is most highly promoted by the Mexican lucha libre promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The championship has existed since 1992 and is one of two women's championships currently promoted by CMLL; the other is the Mexican National Women's Championship. As it is a professional wrestling championship, it is not won legitimately; it is instead won via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline. Fuerza Guerrera (born December 13, 1953) is a Mexican ''Luchador enmascarado'' (or masked professional wrestler) who made his debut in 1978. In his career Guerrera has worked for every major wrestling organization in Mexico including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), AAA, Universal Wrestling Association (UWA), World Wrestling Association (WWA) and International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The CMLL World Trios Championship (Spanish: "''Campeonato Mundial de Trios''") is a professional wrestling championship promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico. The title has existed since 1991 and is contested for by teams of three wrestlers. As it is a professional wrestling championship, it is not won or lost competitively but instead by the decision of the bookers of a wrestling promotion. The CMLL World Heavyweight Championship ( es, Campeonato Mundial de Peso Completo del CMLL) is a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship established in 1991 and promoted by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). CMLL introduced the championship to signal their independence from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), whose titles they had continued to promote after leaving the alliance in the late 1980s.
