The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rajshahi is an autonomous organization, mainly responsible for holding two public examinations ( SSC & HSC). Bogra Sadar Upazila ( bn, বগুড়া সদর উপজেলা) is an upazila of Bogra District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Bogra Thana was established in 1821 and was converted into an upazila in 1983. The upazila takes its name from the district and the Bengali word ''sadar'' (headquarters). It is the subdistrict where the district headquarters, Bogra town, is located. Government Azizul Haque College in Bogura is a higher secondary school and college under the National University of Bangladesh. It is one of the largest educational institutions in Bangladesh's northern region. History The college was established in July 1939. It was named after Sir Azizul Haque, who was vice chancellor of Calcutta University at the time. M. M. Mukherjee was the first principal.
