World Chess Boxing Organisation
The World Chess Boxing Organisation (WCBO) is the governing body of the sport chessboxing. The WCBO was founded by the late Iepe Rubingh, founder of the sport, in 2003 and has its headquarters in Berlin, Germany. Its current president is Montu Das from India. The principal tasks of the WCBO include: training people in the number one thinking sport and the number one fighting sport and the combination of both; building up a worldwide structure of chess boxing clubs and organisations; promoting chess boxing; and holding championship and promotional fights. The World Chessboxing Association (WCBA) is the governing body of chess boxing. The WCBA was founded in 2013 and has its headquarters in London, England. Its current president is Tim Woolgar who was the chess boxing UK champion at heavyweight. History The World Chessboxing Association split from World Chess Boxing Organization (WCBO) and it was established in 2013 by Tim Woolgar to accelerate developing chess boxing industry. Nikolay Sazhin
Nikolay Sergeevich Sazhin (russian: Николай Сергеевич Сажин; September 15, 1988, Krasnoyarsk, Russia, then USSR) is a former world champion of chess boxing. Sazhin has an Elo rating of 1911. Sazhin's overall record was at that point 49–13–0. His alias is "The Siberian Express" or "The Chairman" (, ). Biography Sazhin was 19 when he won the title from Frank Stoldt in July 2008. He defended his title, which wasn't actually his, as somebody else had won it in the meantime, in London in March 2012 against Andy Costello winning by checkmate in the 9th round. Tihomir Atanassov Dovramadjiev ( bg, Тихомир Атанассо Доврамаджиев; born May 22, 1979, in Varna, Bulgaria; also known as Tihomir Titschko ("Titschko" being a short form of "Tihomir") and as 'TigerTAD'' on the Playchess server, is a Bulgarian chess FIDE master and chess boxer. He became thfirst European chess boxing championfrom Berlin, Germany, in 2005. with both World Chess Boxing Organisation WCBOand World Chess Boxing Association WCBAacknowledgments. He has held the International Chess Federation - FIDE title of FIDE master since 2004. Recently, he has held the position of associate professor in the Department of Industrial Design at the Technical University of Varna.
