Bellagio (resort)
Bellagio is a resort, luxury hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned by The Blackstone Group and operated by MGM Resorts International. Bellagio was conceived by casino owner Steve Wynn, and was built on the former site of the Dunes hotel-casino. Wynn's company, Mirage Resorts, purchased the Dunes in 1992. Plans were announced in 1994 to replace it with Beau Rivage, a French-themed resort. However, Wynn changed the project plans in 1995, instead theming it after the village of Bellagio, near Lake Como. The resort was designed by Jon Jerde. Construction began on November 1, 1995, with Marnell Corrao Associates as general contractor. Bellagio opened on October 15, 1998, with 3,005 rooms in a 36-story tower. Built at a cost of $1.6 billion, it was the world's most expensive resort up to that point. Beau Rivage is a waterfront casino resort in Biloxi, Mississippi, USA. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by MGM Resorts International. The Beau Rivage hotel is the tallest building in Mississippi. The term 'Beau Rivage' is French for 'beautiful shore'; the original, well-known hotels of that name are the Beau-Rivage Geneva and Beau-Rivage Palace, both in Francophone Switzerland. History The name of Beau Rivage was originally meant for the Bellagio casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip, however, developer Steve Wynn of Mirage Resorts changed Beau Rivage into Bellagio, and reserved this name for his new waterfront casino in Biloxi. Bear Claw Casino & Hotel
Bear Claw Casino & Hotel is a small casino located on the White Bear First Nations near Moose Mountain Provincial Park and Carlyle, Saskatchewan, Canada in the Moose Mountain Upland. The facility includes a casino (with 132 slot machines and 4 table games), lounge and restaurant, a 35-room hotel, and stalls for campers. It was the first casino in Saskatchewan operated by a First Nations group to open in the province in 1993; at that time, it was caught up in a legal battle between the local First Nations group and the province over jurisdiction. The casino opened in 1993 in the club house of the White Bear Golf Course. It moved into its current location in 1996. In 2010, the 35-room hotel was fully renovated when taken over by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and joined to the casino facility. In 1994, Lady Luck Gaming opened its Olympia Hotel in Robinsonville, an area 10 miles north of Mhoon Landing which had emerged as a prime casino site because of its closer proximity to Memphis. Bally's Atlantic City is a casino hotel on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is owned and operated by Bally's Corporation. The Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel stood on the site before the casino was built. It is famous for its address of "Park Place and the Boardwalk", two locations popularized by the board game Monopoly. Baha Mar is a resort complex on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. Owned by Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, the establishment opened in April 2017. The amenities include three hotels (a Grand Hyatt, SLS Baha Mar, and the Rosewood) with a total of 2,200 rooms, 284 private residences, a casino, a spa, and a Tournament Players Club golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. On 30 March 2010 an agreement on the redevelopment of the resort was announced between a local Bahamas based investor and the government, in order to help revitalize Cable Beach, the most popular beachfront destination on New Providence Island. The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel, formerly known as Golden Nugget, Bally's Grand, The Grand, Atlantic City Hilton and ACH, is an abandoned hotel and casino located at the southern end of the boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, owned and operated by Colony Capital.
