Veronique Branquinho
Veronique Branquinho (born in Vilvoorde, 1973) is a Belgian fashion designer of Portuguese ancestry who studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, from which she graduated in 1995. In 1997, she presented her first womenswear collection in Paris and in 1998 she founded her namesake brand Veronique Branquinho. She quickly rose to prominence in the international fashion scene and in 2003 she extended her brand with fall men's collection. In 2009, she decided to stop her label, as a consequence of the 2008 financial crisis, but she revived it three years later, in collaboration with Italian manufacturer Gibò (now Onward Luxury Group). This was only a brief revival, as the brand was discontinued again in 2017. Nine Culliford was the wife of the comic strip creator known as Peyo (the pseudonym of Pierre Culliford, 1928–1992). She colored his illustrations up until his death. She is especially notable for coming up with the idea that the Smurfs should be colored blue. After the death of her husband, she continued to color the comic strips produced by the studio founded by her son Thierry who has been continuing the work of Peyo. Kitty Crowther
Kitty Crowther (born 4 April 1970, in Brussels) is a Belgian illustrator and writer of children's books. For her career contribution to "children's and young adult literature in the broadest sense" she won the 2010 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award from the Swedish Arts Council, the biggest prize in children's literature. Biography Kitty Crowther is the Belgian daughter of a British father and a Swedish mother. She was born and grew up in Uccle, part of Brussels, in Belgium. She and her husband now live in Blanmont with their two sons. She studied Graphic Arts at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels. Heva Coomans (1860–1939) was a Belgian painter. Coomans was born in Paris as the daughter of the painter Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans (1816–1889) and Adelaide Lacroix (1838–1884). Her sister Diana Coomans was also a painter and her brother Oscar Coomans (1848–1884) was a poet. Like her father and sister, she painted romantic portrayals of the original inhabitants of Pompei before the eruption of Vesuvius, but also is known for depicting young women in other mythological or heroic scenes.Heva Coomans

Marie Collart
Marie Collart-Henrotin (5 December 1842 – 8 October 1911) was a Belgian artist who mainly painted landscapes and animals. Biography She was born in Brussels. Collart was primarily self-taught as an artist, but benefited from the advice of Alfred Verwee, and the art dealer and critic . She became a founding member of the Société Libre des Beaux-Arts in 1868. In 1870, she won a gold medal at the Salon des artistes français. In 1871, Collart married Edmond Henrotin, an artillery captain; he died in 1894. She became the first women to be named a Chevalier in the Belgian Order of Leopold in 1880. She won gold medals at exhibitions in Ghent (1881), in Paris and in Brussels (1897). Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (1880–1950) was a French sculptor of Belgian birth who worked during the early-to-mid 20th century. The subject matter of her best known work was primarily Arab female dancers. The majority of her career output in sculpture can be classified as being of the Art Deco style. Colinet was a frequent exhibitor at the Salon des Artistes Francais and Salon des Independents art exhibitions in Paris. Her sculptures, most of which depicted beautifully figured, energized, and dramatic female forms, were exhibited posthumously at the Paris Salon for nearly 30 years. Caroline Chariot-Dayez (born Brussels, 11 September 1958) is a Belgian hyperrealistic painter. Although interested in painting from a very early age, she studied philosophy in order to understand what painting is. She was deeply influenced by the French phenomenologist Maurice Merleau-Ponty, who wrote extensively on perception, vision, embodiment, and painting.
