American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. The offense must advance at least ten yards in four downs or plays; if they fail, they turn over the football to the defense, but if they succeed, they are given a new set of four downs to continue the drive. Anthony Allen (wide Receiver)
Anthony Derrick Allen (born June 29, 1959) is a former professional American football player who played wide receiver for five seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and San Diego Chargers. He played college football at the University of Washington and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1983 NFL Draft. Professional playing career Allen made his professional debut in the United States Football League (USFL) in 1983. Allen was originally drafted by the USFL's Tampa Bay Bandits in the third round of the 1983 USFL Draft. After being selected in the sixth round of the 1983 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Express acquired his USFL rights from the Bandits for a fourth-round pick the 1984 USFL Draft. Tazwell Leigh Anderson Jr. (November 15, 1938 – September 26, 2016) was an American football player who played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team and professionally for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Falcons. Jamal Anderson
Jamal Sharif Anderson (born September 30, 1972) is a former American football running back of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 1994 NFL Draft. He played high school football at El Camino Real High School, where he was named to the CIF Los Angeles City Section 4-A All-City first-team in 1989. He went on to play college football at Moorpark College for the Moorpark College Raiders before playing at Utah. Anderson earned a Pro Bowl selection in 1998, leading the NFC in rushing and helping the Falcons to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII. Courtney Jerome Anderson Sr. (born November 19, 1980) is a former American football tight end. Born in Greenville, Texas, Anderson attended high school in Richmond, California and played college football at Contra Costa College and San Jose State University. Ashley Avery Ambrose (born September 17, 1970) is a former professional American football cornerback for several NFL teams during the 1990s and early 2000s who most recently served as the cornerbacks coach at the University of Colorado.
