This is a list of the main association football rivalries in the UK. Football derby matches in the United Kingdom are often heated affairs, and violence is not uncommon. However, the matches and the rivalries they encompass are frequently listed among the best in the sport. A 2008 report showed that West Bromwich Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers was the number one rivalry in English football. While Old Firm derby matches between Scottish clubs Rangers and Celtic are known to go beyond the sport with its "enormous quantity of references to wider cultural and political issues". Colney () is a village in the western outskirts of Norwich in the English county of Norfolk. History Colney's name is of Anglo-Saxon origin and derives from the Old English for 'Cola's' island. Peterborough United Football Club is an English professional football club based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. The team compete in League One, the third tier of the English football league system. Histon is a village and civil parish in the South Cambridgeshire district, in the county of Cambridgeshire, England.
