Asian Indoor Games
The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (abbreviated as AIMAG) is a pancontinental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. It is organised by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and consists of Indoor and martial arts events with TV broadcasting potential, some of which were not contested at the Asian Games and Asian Winter Games Programs and are not Olympic sports. The event is a merger of two formerly separate OCA-sanctioned events – Asian Indoor Games (abbreviated as AIG) and Asian Martial Arts Games (abbreviated as AMAG), first held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2005 and 2009 respectively. Both events merged to form the present-day event in 2013, with the subsequent editions inherited the edition numeral of the former. James Kwalia
James Kwalia C'Kurui (born James Kwalia Chepkurui on 12 June 1984) is an athlete who represents Qatar after switching from his homeland Kenya. Specializing in the 3000 and 5000 metres, his personal best times are 7:28.28 minutes and 12:54.58 minutes respectively. He was born in Trans Nzoia. He is the current holder of the Asian indoor record over 5000 m which he broke in Düsseldorf in February 2009. Biography He had his first success while competing for Kenya when he won the bronze medal in the 3000 m at the 2001 World Youth Championships in Athletics. His first senior medal came at the 2004 IAAF World Athletics Final, where he took the 3000 m silver. Amin Abraham Tiny Paul Nikfar ( fa, امین آبراهام پل نیکفر, born 2 January 1981 in San Jose, United States) is an Iranian-American shot putter. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004 where he was a member of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. Amin finished 1st (Gold) in the 2004 Asian Indoor Championships. He finished tenth at the 2005 Asian Championships. He also competed at the 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final. His personal best throw is 20.05 metres, achieved in July 2011 in Toronto. Leonid Vladimirovich Andreev (born 6 October 1983) is an Uzbekistani pole vaulter and decathlete. He first competed in the decathlon, placing fourteenth at the 2000 World Junior Championships and winning the gold medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships. He then concentrated on the pole vault. He was qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games, but did not start in the event. He then no-heighted at the 2005 and 2007 World Championships. Pole vaulting, also known as pole jumping, is a track and field event in which an athlete uses a long and flexible pole, usually made from fiberglass or carbon fiber, as an aid to jump over a bar. Majd Eddin Ghazal ( ar, مجد الدين غزال; born 21 April 1987) is a Syrian high jumper. He utilizes the Fosbury Flop style, jumping off his left leg.
